I would say that it is through our actions and living the scriptures. But many who are superficial in the protestent faith are are strict sola scripturists see this as a bad thing because they see it as trying to "work" our way into heaven. When in reality, it is doing as Jesus says, which is to taking up our cross and following Him.

Some of us are called to witness by leading holy lives and acting in a way so as to not defame the name of Christ. Some have the gift of evangelism and are called to go out and preach the gospel. There are many other gifts as well.

1Co 12:4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;
1Co 12:5 and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;
1Co 12:6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
1Co 12:7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
1Co 12:8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
1Co 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
1Co 12:10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
1Co 12:11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

1Co 12:28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues.

1Co 12:30 Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

To say that we must all evangelize is not biblical. Some do not have that gift.

We do have an obligation to know our faith and be able to defend it.

Sharing the gospel should be the #1 most important thing in a Christian's life. If it is not, it should be.

VYarlo, first off what do you mean by "sharing the gospel"? making sure people know that Christ died for their sins and now offers us His forgiveness?
Also I see some people here who think that being Christ-like in how they treat other people does more to share the gospel then words

Wow old thread but relavent...We may not all be called as an evangelist but we are to be a light in a perverse world..And:
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Our life should radiate Christ in us through our word and deed...It is what draws them

well said Kim, we need to be mature in faith and we should have knowldge of what we believe and why we believe it,
I noticed this the other day Catholics, at least most american Catholics, think like protestants, it is not just the Catholic Church is the Church Christ founded and I put my trust in her, we are expected to know why we believe this, and we also want to know why we believe this and is it "rational" the days of having the faith of a child are long gone

One of my big wake up calls was when a protestent asked me questions about my faith and I wasn't prepared to answer and found the words hard to come across. I decided that that will never happen to me again and I studied my faith and it became stronger in knowledge and in ability to turn my life (good and bad) over to God.

Another thing is we tend to make the gospel more complex than the simple message it is ...My favorite verse for that is John 3:16...What is yours?

If we only had a few minutes to present the gospel, what would we say..

John 3:16 is good, but there is more to the gospel then just that.
really the best way to "share the gospel" is not through words but through martyr the word itself means witness, although I would not think this is the rout that everyone should fallow, I am just saying it is effective

Amen ... Given in the name of Christ..Where He is lifted up men will be drawn to Him..We provide the gospel message and the Holy Spirit does the work..
