Two thoughts here, real quick.

I'm glad I'm not of this world. It is not my home.

If the world doesn't hate me, is this an indication that I'm not living as I should? It is apparent in the life of a believer that he is different, and no longer his own.

And a good thought! Reminds me of Jesus' words about not being offended. There is power in not being offended by the world, although it must also be coupled with humility. Of John the Baptist (who was about to be beheaded) Jesus said, "blessed are those who are not offended." Thanks for the scripture and the thought.

My verses seem to fit right in with previous posts today:

Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, a people in whose heart is My law;
Do not fear the reproach of man, neither be dismayed at their revilings.

For the moth will eat them like a garment, and the grub will eat them like wool.

But My righteousness shall be forever, and My salvation to all generations. Is 51:7-8

I will hold fast, because of He who lives in me. Knowing who His Word says I am, makes the possibilities of these verses simply exciting!

Job 13:15-16 (KJV) 15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. 16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.

Hold fast (maintain) in trust, He is salvation! Know HIM in whom you believe. One of my most favorite lines in one of my most favorite hymns. "I Know Whom I Have Believed" and I'm persuaded! (Are we all in one accord on this being persuaded thing?)
