That one has always stuck even from the first time read Matthew. It just says it all about being a Christian these days. I don't know about you guys but I have taken my fair share of "beatings" in my walk.

“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all in what you teach, in the way you live, in your love, your faith and your purity” 1Timothy 14:12

I don't think being a Christian has ever been easy. But this I know, if God is for us, who can be against us?

So, going along with your verse, I'd like to post three. May these comfort and encourage you.

2 Timothy 3:12 Yes, and all those who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

John 16:33 (Jesus speaking) "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

Romans 8:35, 37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?...Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
