Have you ever experienced something that is just 'too good to be true'?

I have several times and I just know that these occurences are proof of God's interference in my life. I will give you an example:

I was raised in a Christian family and went to church every Sunday unill I was fourteen years old. That's when puberty took over and I kind of lost my faith in anything.
At twenty-two I was doing some shopping when I was suddenly overwhelmed with an incredible feeling of happiness, so much that I was literally stopped in my tracks. After it had passed I continued on my way slightly stunned and recovering from what had just happened. Then, I was approached by a man who asked me if he could ask me a question.
He asked me if I knew who Jesus was and whether I believed in God. I replied saying that I had been raised with God and lost interest but that God would let me know when should 'pick it all up again. The man said "What if he just did?"
We finished our conversation and not until later that night I realised what had happened. God had sent me a clear sign saying enough with all the nonsense, time to come back to your Father. After realising that, I could not go back to my own ways and I have been a follower of Christ ever since.

This is nothing short of a miracle to me. I can't explain this eruption of happiness I felt and the timing of the evengalist was 'too good to be true'. Besides he did not know what I had felt just a minute earlier and still asked me the question "What if he just did?"

I am curious about your miracles, please share.

I have to admit this was not expected when I asked this of God. I had a decision to make. Taking a cue from Gideon and his golden fleece, I asked God if he could give me clarity on something, not confident that he would reply at all. I could not hear Him or be sure of hearing His advice about this when I had prayed previously. So,...I asked if he could play a certain song for me on the radio if he required me to take action on this. If I heard that song during the course of the day, it would be a 'Yes'. I still would have doubts about it just being a co-incidence.
So I was driving back from the store and talking on the phone so I had the radio right down or off (I don't recall). I had forgotton I had even prayed this prayer for an answer. So I finished my phone call and forgot to turn the radio up. A short time later, I heard this whistling sound coming from the radio - not really an electronic sound - more like a person whistling to you - it went up and down in pitch. So I thought, 'hmmm weird' and just thought the radio was malfunctioning. However, it reminded me to put my music back on. So I turned it on, and what do you know? - the exact song that I'd asked for. This was not a song that was commonly known or played at all.
If I had heard this on the radio while just listening, I'd had probably thought it was co-incidence. But to have it with the whistling was just weird. I have never again heard that whistling sound.

Patric1980...have you thought about the fact that the man knew what God had just done to you....because the man might have been an angel sent by God?!

I believe that I have seen and talked to an angel before. He even shared my lunch with me. He told me things that absolutely was impossible for anyone to know! When it hit me that he was an angel....I was throwing the lunch garbage away....I turned around to question him and thank him.....but he had vanished! I even ran around this food court looking for him.

God is so awesome!!!!

He might have been. I have never seen him again, I have never seen anyone spreading the gospel there before or after my experience. The encounter certainly changed my life for the better. I cherish it with all my heart.

But sharing your lunch with an angel is something else! Could you share a little more?

Last June I lost a good job. The stress was so bad it was like a boa constrictor was crushing my chest. I was attending a church that taught that Holy communion was only a symbol of Jesus' atonement but the Lord kept urging me that it was more than that. Every time I read where Jesus said "this is my body and blood given to you" I just could not dismiss what was being said. I started attending an Eastern Orthodox church and I noticed that when the Priest and his staff paraded through the sanctuary with the Eucharist congregates would reach out and touch the Priest's rob. I told myself next Sunday I would reach out and touch his rob and when I did I felt an actual power flow through my arm and stop right in my chest filling it with a warm glow. It lasted for a couple of hours. I feel the Lord healed my wounded spirit from losing my job and chased away any negative spirits that were behind me losing my job and also confirmed His presence in His Holy "communion".

Tigger...I love that experience! Have you found a new job yet? I know in these end times things will get tough. Stay strong. My job security is dwindling. We are scared every day that they close the office. Pray that God is with us and that Jesus returns soon!!!

Patrick....here is what happened with the angel:

I was going to the city near where I live to attend business. I had major problems in my life at that time that no one knew about but my family. These problems where so great...I didn't know how they could be fixed. Any way....I was in a large open food court for lunch. I wasn't hungry due to stress...but I figured I should eat something before I had to be back to a meeting. I remember I ordered a 2 cheese burger meal.

As I carried my tray to a two seat table, I saw a man looking at me. He then started walking towards me. I thought to myself, "oh great?! Please don't let this guy come sit with me to flirt with me or something?! I just want to be alone in my misery!"

He walked up and asked if he could sit at the chair in front of me at this little tiny table. (There were plenty of other tables where he could have sat.) I started to eat. I asked him if he was going to eat. He said, "no, I didn't come here to eat." I remember handing him my other hamburger. I told him to please take it...I wasn't really hungry. He thanked me and ate it. Then....he started talking. As he talked it was mesmerizing. I never interrupted him. I felt like I couldn't talk. As he told me things that were going on about my life and problems....I stared into his eyes with my jaw hanging open. He told me details that there was no way anyone could have known! He told me how to deal with my problems and told my to stay strong in God! That God loved me and everyone. He told me all about how he knows Jesus. It was surreal. When he finished...I looked at my watch and realized I had to leave. I gathered the tray and garbage...stood up and walked two steps to the trash can. As I was putting the tray away...my brain started to process what had happened! I thought,"who is this guy? How did he know all of that...why did he seem so different?....wait...is he an angel?!?! Oh my...he's an angel or something?!?" I turned to question him...but in that short minute he had vanished! There was no way to leave this open area that quickly?!

I searched...I ran out of the food court into th opening with a large water fountain....he wasn't there. I never got to thank him!

I am so thankful that I was polite and hadn't turned him away! Think of the blessing I would have missed! I did what he told me and I stayed close to God....my problems where solved!!! It was a miracle!

The moral is....be kind. Share your table (and meal) with strangers. You never know when you're talking to an angel.

Yes Glorify I did get I did get a new job thank you. God is good! By the way your testimony about having lunch with an angel is great but I can one up you. I have dinner with an angel every day!

@glorify: That is a truly wonderful and devine experience! It blows my mind every day when I realise how great our God really is!
Have you ever heard the song 'Angels' by Alabama? It might sound a bit corny but the lyrics are so true! You should check it out.

Patrick...I'm sorry. My evening got busy with my 9 year old. Maybe I'll tell about what happened at lunch today. You know....one of my sisters works as a Christian councilor at a college and she does missionary work! Sometimes I wonder why I've seen and heard from God in so many obvious ways....yet my sister (who's given her life to working for Jesus) has never experienced anything like that it makes me think of this:

And yet, in today's society, seeing is believing. So many people ask God for signs in order to proof his existence. I don't believe it works this way, I think it is the other way around.

If you give your life to Jesus and open your senses, you won't be able to see the world as you used to. Things have changed in an instance and God is omnipresent.

Amen the natural mind can't comprehend the things of a Holy God. This last six months to a year has been amazing. As my GF has grown in her faith the Lord keeps giving little signs that He is here and near. Like almost everytime we have our own make shift bible study the very next Sunday the sermon will have a simular topic. The Lord is just showing Himself real. Everytime it happens I ask her see have you ever experienced this before? And she admits it's way too coincidental to be an accident.

I was in my early 20's. my life was going along very calm and nice....when one night....

I feel I was pulled out of my body (separate from my body...like dead) I suddenly was placed on steps that were all white! I could see the top step. Surrounding the top was a wrap around top floor with a banister on all three sides! I started running up the steps trying to get to the top but I couldn't! (It was like an escalator that was going down and I was going up...so I stayed in the same spot) I was frustrated when all of a sudden a voice from behind me said my name!!! I froze!!!! I knew right then that it was Jesus!! I wanted to see him so badly! I was afraid that if I turnd he wouldn't be there or this would be a dream and I would wake up! I prayed to God, " please let him be there when I turn!"

I turned....and by this Time he had walked from behind me to the right side of me! So my eyes were at about eye level with his feet. He had on a white long robe (at the bottom of the robe were about three layers of material. They looked like triangular rips with frayed edges of the fabric!) His feet were bare. I could see the form of his body...but he was so bright! He was walking slow and calm and steady. There was no wind. Yet with every slow step...I could hear the the rips of his robe blow in the wind. (Imagine 50 hug flags whipping in a violent storm)

He was walking toward the top front step...I was now able to slowly walk up the steps! As we walked...he said "do you know who I am?"
I was confused at the question? Because I knew the second he said my name I knew it was Jesus! I also knew he knew I knew! So why ask that?!? But, I said, "yes Jesus."

By this time he was on the top step blocking my view to what I believe was heaven! He sat down on the top step and I collapsed at his feet a few steps down. It was overwhelming joy but complete sadness at the same time because I knew I couldn't stay! I was crying (both tears of sorrow and joy). I wanted to hug him and never let go!!! But a voice inside my head told me I wasn't allowed. So with the strength I had left I carefully took my thumb and finger and touched one of the rips from his robe that was laying on the step. At that, he took his right hand under my chin ( that was looking down) and lifted my head up to look at him!!! I remember looking as hard as I could to see his face....but it got brighter and brighter! It was impossible to see thru the light! Even though it was brighter than the sun....it didn't hurt! Then, as the light of his face grew....I felt it wrap all around me! It sunk into all my being. The light whooshed me back to earth and I fell back into my body! That fall woke me! I sat up breathing heavy!!!! In awe!!!!

Tigger45 was the first person I talked with when I came to this site. He helped me see in the bible where there are references that happened in the bible. He helped me more completely understand the vision. I'm so grateful for that! But here's what I wanted to update tiger about:

The triangle rips at the bottom of Jesus' robe.....they have stood out all these years. I've tried to understand it. Well....this seems strange, but I have felt that the Holy Spirit has been telling me to get a tallit (a Jewish prayer shawl). I didn't even know what they where! Then I kept questioning God if I heard him correctly....because I'm not Jewish! But....Tallits kept showing up everywhere in my life! I finally ordered on from Israel!!! (It's not here yet). Then, my mom was at a gallery when a woman came up to complement her on her painting. My mom asked her if she was an artist. The woman said, "we'll I'm a weaver. But most people don't know what it is I weave. It's called a tallit." She told my mom how she can't do anything without the rabbis approval." It's all very specific. My mom almost fell over because I've been concerned about being Christian and getting a tallit. But that was my final sign that GOD WANTS ME TO HAVE A TALLIT and that's all that matters...not what others think or what I think.

Now...here's the coolest thing!!! The other night I was looked up on the Internet Christians using tallits. They explained all about the tallits and why they have the tassels on the corners.

Outer garment was the Tallit (prayer shawl) it was heavier weight.
Psalms 61:4 Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your WING.

Matthews Gospel chapter 14:34-36 ..And when they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret.
v.35 And when the men of that place recognized him, they sent around to all that region and brought to him all who were sick
v. 36 and implored him that they might only touch the FRINGE of his garment. And as many as touched it were made well.

It comes out as ‘hem of His garment’ the hem for us is like what is at the bottom of our pants, or at the edge of our sleeve. Folded over and sewn to avoid fraying.

That is not what’s talked about in scripture, what was talked about was that the woman touched His (Jesus) tzizit, the fringe.

The whole purpose of the Tallit (prayer shawl) is to hold the fringe on the corners as a reminder to the people about God. That they have been set aside, sanctified and made Holy unto God.

So...two things....the triangle rips were frayed edges...not sewn. Plus...their shape looked like an upside down feather.....Wing!!!!

How awesome is God!!!!
