WAY! :D

There once was a lizard named Hubert. He was a fine little lizard... one of the merriest lizards of his kind.

One day Hubert was minding his own business, strolling along his usual path when all of a sudden he hears giant thumps! As he stops to listen he notices the thumps getting louder and louder, and getting closer and closer to him. Poor little Hubert didn't know what to do! His first reaction was to run, but in the corner of his eye he saw his mortal enemy, the house hold cat. His only chance now was to run into a tin can hoping he would be safe from both threats.

Little did he know that a human was watching his every action from afar and running inside that tin can only made Hubert easier prey for this human.
The human quickly made her way to the tin can, flipped it over, and let out a loud menacing laugh declaring her accomplishment.

"I have found my next meal!" The human exclaimed. "I shant not starve today."
Poor little Hubert was in shock! He tried climbing out of the tin can several times. He realized his only hope now was to surrender. Little Hubert relaxed and faced reality. He was going to be human food. As the human reached in to pick up the lizard, she noticed how he quit fighting. Little Hubert became still almost as if he was playing dead. This caused the human to let her guard down and loosen her grip on him.

Little did the human know that that was Hubert's game plan all the long. As soon as as the human had Hubert inches away from her lips, already savoring the thought of munching on the tiny lizard body, Hubert leaped out of her hands (almost jumping into her mouth, actually) and ran to safety!

Now the poor human was left to starve. The end.

No lizards were harmed in the making of this short story. :p

I wanted to share these pictures for a while, but I kept forgetting I had them. :D They are from September, I believe.

Oh, may God bless the man that marries me. ;):D
 Great story! :D I'm glad you didn't eat the cute little lizard though. ^_^
