Even Vaseline is an improvement over the "hair mousse" my nephews came up with....pine pitch!

My SIL almost had to shave their heads.

Fascinating indeed. In my house, the popular thing right now, at least with Sammy my 2 year old, is to flush any and everything she can get her little mits on down the toilet. Rubber duckies, toothbrushes, bars of soap, Sesame street toys... etc... Our plumbing bills have been astronimical.
