Sewing!

Sewing's great - it's useful, fun, and fo me it's relaxing. Plus, it's fun to be able to say "I made it" when somebody compliments me on my show clothes.

Are there any other seamstresses here?
What sort of things do you sew?
Do you mainly sew for yourself?
What kind of machine do you have?

I CAN sew, but don't do it a lot, mainly because I make too many mistakes because I try to go to fast! it's a shame because I have a really nice machine that was GIVEN to me. It's an older Singer model, the same kind my mom used when I was little and she'd sew my little dresses. I use the machine mainly for crafting projects and household items. I would like to make a simple quilt for my daughter's room but have yet to come up with a winner of an idea.

I do not sew on a machine but I sew things but I dunno is u'd call cross stich sewing but my mom does. when I'm older I'll hand sew dresses and head coverings or bonnets.
