I've never made a quilt b4, but my sewing teacher wants all the girls in my class 2 make 1 this year. Does n e 1 ever use their old jeans 2 make stuff?? I got a book that gives me about 50 projects 2 make just by using old jeans. It really is alot of fun, but hard cuz it gets sooo thick in some spots!!

Yeah I've made bags out of old pairs of jeans, and pencil cases etc, I use them to make different colour patches for jeans i still wear, I've also made a pair of jeans into a skirt(the knees had gone through and were covered in paint!). I agree it can be very hard to sew denim, especially jeans when there are already more than one layer of material.

What sort of things are in your book? It sounds fascinating!

U can make Christmas decorations, pencil cases, notebook covers, bags, etc. It's alot of fun. When I find the book, I can tell u wat it's called and who wrote it.
