Seventh Day Adventist Logo Usage

I have received communication from the Seventh Day Adventist organization asking for CF to remove the logo from our site. I wanted to inform you before this action is taken so you aren't surprised when it is gone. If one of you would like to come up with a new logo that doesn't violate the SDA trademark, that would be great too.

Since we are not allowed to use the new logo I wonder would we be able to use the old one of the three angels flying?

I'm not sure how everyone would feel about that one. I always liked it.

What do others think?

I never care for the generic open book flame logo.

Lets use the 3 angels picture.

The three angel's logo is probably copywritten as well.

Man, the new profile icon is UHGLEE.

Wow, how creative. It's just not as nice as the offical SDA logo.

And, quite frankly, if they are going to be this protective of thier logo, I have no interest in the hassle and headache. I don't need to have a two-ton bag of bricks fall on my head to take a hint.

I think I am going to change mine to the cross.

and just think what it does to that rule (that I protested when I first arrived) about not being able to enter into debate unless you were displaying the sda logo.....lol.... I suppose someone will accuse someone of persecuting the online sda's..... just remind them that its the church that said NO!!!

It will be interesting to see if the GC will try to shut this place down like it did with Adventist Today and Spectrum forums. Now that they are aware of the place, I wouldn't be suprised. They will most likely not stop at just the logo if online history is any indication.

Watch and see I suppose.

not necessarily, but they have to protect their name... so if its not adventist to them, then the name can't be used.... oh the irony..... some here have made it their duty to tell us who is and who is not a "true" adventist and maybe the very church that they think they are defending swoops in and says, quit using the sda name...... gotta love it.....

GC lost a case to the gay SDAs over the use of name 'seventh-day adventist'.

GC legally can not prevent anyone from using the name.

I defend the SDA belief not the corperate structure. GC does not represent adventism. The true SDAs are those hold the SDA belief, not those who are in power nor those who merely claim to be.

I have 2 three angels pictures. I think both were from IIW. You said you were going to get IIW to sign off on them. Now we have the need, can you follow up on that?
