And it does seem rather a lot to ask from someone who is continually denounced and vilified by "Bible-believing" Christians for not being a "real" Christian. If the shoe was on the other foot I'd be under the bus in a heartbeat, and you know it.

Think about that.First, most on the forum here are Christians and not atheists last I checked. Second, what good does it do you to insult us? Would you think I would bother with going to a flat earth forum and insulting them or their beliefs? No. I wouldn't waste my time. In other words, if God and His Word was not true, you wouldn't bother to even come here. Do you go to Buddah forums and make fun of them and their beliefs? Three, there are Christians who believe your assertions like Eternal Torment, God being unjust when taking life, etc. to be false. You are not seeking God (because you desire to serve yourself and your sin), so you seek to pick and tear apart the Bible out of context of what it is really saying (Thereby keeping God at arms length away from you).

I heard Stephen Hawking had something like this in mind, that would take approximately 20 years to find out for sure, a thousand postage stamp size probes that could find out for us for sure...

The star Cor Caroli (alpha Canum Venaticorum) has a strong magnetic field, it has abnormally strong lines of rare earth elements in its spectrum, its rotation period is 5.46939 days, and it has a visual companion. It is also 115 light years away. Therefore it is possible to say something meaningful about stars that are more than 39 light years away.What passes for "science" these days is just laughable. They can not say anything meaningful about something 39 light years away. It's just not possible. But, they can speculate enough to keep the money rolling in, so that's a plus.
These planets do resemble Earth in some way. They are rocky planets around the same size as Earth. They are Earth-like in the same way Venus and Mars are Earth-like.

I understand what you mean, and that's what astronomers mean, but I disagree with such broad conditions being termed "earthlike."
Using what sounds like a "commonsense" term for something that is actually quite distinct from common sense is bad taxonomy.
Scientists ought really to be more closely specific in their terms than that. The commonsense understanding of "Earthlike" would be a condition naturally hospitable to nearly any temperate-zone earth creature.
Mars, for instance, should not be considered "earthlike." They'd be better off creating a scaling system as they do for stars to describe for themselves where such planets would fall on the scale. So call a planet that would be naturally hospitable to nearly any temperate-zone earth creature something like "Class M." Then they could say that "hard surfaced (rocky) planet not a gas giant. It must be large enough to hold an atmosphere but not so large as to have a crushing gravity. It must orbit in the 'goldilocks zone' --- warm enough for liquid water but not so hot as to boil it away" is a planet between classes, say, H to Q.

You unlearnt your atheism, didn't you.I have admitted when I was wrong before even to Eternal Security Proponents (Who are my most heated adversaries). So no. I would not say I am close minded. I would say that I cannot unlearn what I know. Can you unlearn that the Earth is round? Surely not.
I would like to see one picture of any heavenly body in our solar system (besides the moon and sun) that isn't computer generated from NASA.

If I can see Ceres with my telescope, NASA should be able to provide recent, high resolution photos (or feeds) of Ceres - not simple concept art with the same cloud formations and landmass face.
So far as I know, it doesn't mention them at all. It mentions the Pleiades and Orion, and probably Arcturus or Aldebaran, but not any of the planets. The mention of 'wandering stars' in Jude 13 may be a reference to planets, but that verse is a condemnation of wicked members of the Church; it is not about the planets as astronomical bodies.What does the Bible say about the existence of other planets?
