So you don't believe there is any connection between the English language and God's Word?
...
It depends on the "evidence."
I don't believe that the word atom is in any way derived from Adam. In fact I know it isn't.
No evidence by itself should be the focus of a laser beam for proof that God's Word is true. It is taking into account the sum total of all the evidence that supports God's Word. My mentioning the connection between the English language and the Bible is not a smoking gun to prove the truthfulness of the Bible alone. We look at ALL the evidences for God's Word as a whole.
Now, if you disagree with the connection between the English language and the Bible or that it is significant, then by all means do so. But don't fight against that here in front of atheists or unbelievers. It makes it look like you are on the side of the unbeliever by fighting me at every turn. God's people should learn to show that they are in harmony with each other.

Allowing somebody to churn out hogwash in the name of Christianity would be of no service to God. It would only give atheists an additional reason to lampoon Christianity.
Perhaps I didn't clarify. My apologies. The word may not have been intended that way by man, but by God is the point I was making. For God sovereign, right? Do not the words sound the same when you speak them? That is the point I am getting at. In other words, I was looking at it from God's perspective and man's.
...
I believe some of things you say are hogwash, but I am not gonna fight you and other Christians as if they were the enemy over it. The only case this changes is if you or others teach a sin and still be saved doctrine (Thereby justifying a license for immorality).
...
There is no reason on Earth, or in heaven for that matter, to suppose that the two words are linked; in God's mind or anywhere else.
So you are going to serve him who said, "I am the way, the truth and the life," by spouting untruths.
Somebody has got to say, in the full view of atheists and everybody else, that Christianity is not that vacuous.
Okay. So you are saying the two words:
(a) Don't sound the same in any way?
(b) Are not made up of 4 letters that both begin with a letter "a" and end in the letter "m"?
(c) Are not related in the fact that they are both talking about a foundational building block of life? Meaning, did not Adam give birth to all humanity? And is not the atom the a foundational particle to all things including humanity?
That is the connection I was making. If you still don't see it, then that is your choice. But it wouldn't change the truth on this matter.
...
If that is the way you feel I will treat you no different than them. I will tell you about Jesus and His love and how He can transform your life. For we both cannot be right.
The problem I have is that you are totally hostile towards me at every turn over minor things. The evidences for God's Word while they may be important are not a salvation issue or an attack upon God's character.
...
That is just gobbledegook.
As I am sure you would put it, your opinion is of no concern to me in the least. I stand or fall according to God's judgement.
Only man-made translations.
You should care about other believers. Galatians 6:2 says we to carry each other's burdens in order to fulfill the Law of Christ. Jesus said to Peter that if he loved him, he should feed the sheep. Paul says we are to speak with grace seasoned with salt. For by our words we can be condemned.

I still don't see how supporting you in something so blatantly silly will make it seem more convincing to atheists. They aren't entirely stupid, you know.No evidence by itself should be the focus of a laser beam for proof that God's Word is true. It is taking into account the sum total of all the evidence that supports God's Word. My mentioning the connection between the English language and the Bible is not a smoking gun to prove the truthfulness of the Bible alone. We look at ALL the evidences for God's Word as a whole.

As I recall, Paul wasn't given to mincing his words in addressing fellow Christians.
Most of us here feel about the bible and your quotes of scripture, as you do about movie quotes. Not sure how this helps prove your case or your worldview.
...
Most of us here recognize that the bible is "full of fantasy quotes from fictional characters."
