This was preached at my church last Sunday. Called "Two Men and a Verdict", about the publican and the Pharisee in Luke who prayed to God for two different things ... and came out with - what likely would have been so in the eyes of Jewish society in that day - unexpectedly differing conclusions.

Can I tell you something. Sometimes God puts His glory in earthen vessels that sometimes come across as weird and annoying. But the truth is: He uses the foolish things of this earth to confound the mighty and well to do.
