I have a series of questions. I hope u can help me and answer them in an authentic way. I Know some of ur religion. And I would like to know more. The purpose of my thread is to have an open discussion about Christianity. Please consider me that kind of girl who asks a lot . Please do not be offended when I ask questions u may consider offensive. My aim is to understand.

My first question is:

You say that u can see GOD!?How can u?Can other non-christians see him?Can u tell me where can u find a verse the proves this in the Bible?

I would have to ask you a question first.
You challenge us to find a verse in the Bible that proves something.
However, can you say that you would accept anything in the Bible as a proof?
If you admit that the Bible proves anything then where would that leave your faith?
How can someone who does not believe the Bible regard it as being able to prove anything?

John 1:18
No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known.

1 John 4:12
No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Nobody has seen The Father's face, yet. But people will.

Revelation 3:-4
3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

Who will see His face? The pure of heart of course! That is, those who have their sins forgiven.

Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

When people saw and spoke to God in the OT, they were really speaking to the pre-existent Jesus Christ before He was born with His human side. That is what I believe.

I hope this helps you!

I think those verses refer to seeing God in Heaven after one goes there.

I have never heard any Christian claim that they have physically seen God in this life.

The original Apostles, on the other hand, could claim they saw God physically in the person of Jesus.

I think this was an excellent response to her question. I have a couple of points to expand. See below.

John 1:18

1 John 4:12

Nobody has seen The Father's face, yet. But people will.

This is correct, as shown in scripture. All who believe in Christ as their savior will see Him at the time of their resurrection, if not earlier at the rapture.

Revelation 3:-4

Who will see His face? The pure of heart of course! That is, those who have their sins forgiven.

Those whose sins are forgiven are called Christians. They will see God.

No human has ever seen God. We have seen Christ in His human form.

Matthew 5:8

When people saw and spoke to God in the OT, they were really speaking to the pre-existent Jesus Christ before He was born with His human side. That is what I believe.

This is true, Christ appeared to several people in the Old Testament, usually to warn them of something. Like He did before God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

It isn't that Christians have visibly seen God the Father, because of our sinfulness, His holiness would overwhelm us and we would die.

That said, we can see the nature of God because He has revealed it when His Son came to Earth as God in human flesh. Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15). So when we know Jesus, His character, nature, likes, dislikes, etc, then we know God the Father because what is true of Jesus is exactly true of God [the Father]. It is in the person of Jesus Christ that God has made Himself known to humanity.

We see God in His creation. All thngs created attest to His creation and glory, even in this fallen state of sin and death.

Romans 1:19 ¶ They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.
20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities––his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Hi, Hard question to answer, because there are many Christians with many different experiences. I don't know anyone that has in person. However, I don't know lots of people.

Have heard that others have. Mostly in a vision or dream. (In a dream, I myself have seen Jesus.) However, in general in America, which is where I live, I don't commonly hear that people have seen God.

Of course in the bible people saw God, in the OT in the form of preincarnate Jesus, as well as the Father in the Pillar of Fire, and Clouds to the Hebrews. They knew He was real and God.

Much in the NT, as Jesus is God.

I have read of miraculous things occuring with missionaries, in China. Actually, I've read many missionary books and many miracles are described. It seems that where the church is growing is where you'll hear of miracles and such.

In particular tho, would like to share this story from the New Testament. I believe the same can occur anytime, anywhere.

So here is where Stephen saw Jesus, who was in heaven, while Stephen was on earth.

Stephen was being stoned for preaching the gospel.

When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him.

55But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56"Look," he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God."

57At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, 58dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
59While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." 60Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.
.

Blessings,
tapero

I have never seen God physically, though I believe some people have.
But I see Him every day.
I see Him in His creation.
I see Him in His answers to my prayers.
I see Him in His people.
I see Him through His word.

So yes, I have seen God.

God bless you.
I pray that you will find answers to your questions!
