I do not have the resources to get this info, unfortunately. Could someone tell me which form of the word humble is used in the Septuagint in Micah 6:8? I want to use this verse as a word study for a class, but the only other time that this form of humbly is used in the OT is in Proverbs 11:2 and it isn't even used in the same way. :)
Thanks for the help,
Dave

As far as I can see from my copy, it's "hetoimos" (strongs 2092).

Hope this helps!

Peace!

Dave, did you know you can find the LXX for most of the OT on the Blueletter Bible website? They don't have all of it, and some of the verse numbers don't match up, but usually you can find it.

Click the [C] button to the left of the verse. It will show you the (unpointed) Hebrew below the verse. Below that is lexical information including Hebrew roots (sometimes wrong :( but still a good start and mostly accurate) and below that is the LXX. See if this link works to take you directly to the page. Links to the BLB home page work well, but links to lookups there don't always work.

BTW, if you want to see how the LXX translates other instances of the same Hebrew root, you can click on its Strong's number, then look up the verses it lists. It's going to take you 2 or 3 clicks per verse, so you won't see it at a glance, but the BLB is still an excellent FREE tool for Greek and Hebrew words studies.
