Sept. 29 - Feast of the Archangels and Wk 2, Day 3 on our Journey

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Listening to God’s Words on this Feast of the Holy Archangels, and also Listening to God’s Words which He Inspired in the heart of St. Louis De Montfort, in “True Devotion”, I sincerely hope many will be and are being blessed each day…

All the Mass Readings for today’s Feast are beautiful and I encourage all to listen to them. For me, again the Alleluia verse for today stands out:

Alleluia (Ps 103:21) - “Bless the LORD, all you angels, you ministers, who do His will.”​

Saints, like St. Louis de Montfort know Mary is the Queen of Angels, and St. Michael the Archangel above all is the Archangel who “defends us in Battle” against satan. In continuing our 2nd week of seeking to understand Mary, we listen to words God inspired St. Louis to write in paragraph 217 of “True Devotion”:

217 - The soul of Mary will be communicated to you to glorify the Lord. Her spirit will take the place of yours to rejoice in God her Savior, but only if you are faithful to the practices of this devotion. As St. Ambrose says, "May the soul of Mary be in each one of us to glorify the Lord. May the spirit of Mary be in each on of us to rejoice in God! “When will that happy day come,” asks a saintly man of our own day, whose life was completely wrapped up in Mary, “When God’s Mother is enthroned in men’s hearts as Queen, subjecting them to the dominion of her great and princely Son. When will we breathe Mary as the body breathes air?”​

When that time comes wonderful things will happen on earth. The Holy Spirit finding His dear Spouse present again in souls, will come into them with great power, He will fill them with His gifts, especially wisdom, by which they will produce wonders of grace. My dear friend, when will that happy time come that age of Mary when many souls, chosen by Mary and given her by the Most High God, will hide themselves completely in the depths of her soul, becoming living copies of her, loving and glorifying Jesus. That day will dawn only when the devotion I teach is understood and put into practice. “Lord that Your Kingdom May come, may the reign of Mary come!”​

Come Holy Spirit, fill us as you filled Mary with Jesus. Amen.

Thanks again dear Michie! Listening to God is so important for us, and this Feast in honoring the Archangels gives us especially an opportunity to "see" by faith how the Angels listen and do the Truth they receive from God. Let us be grateful to our own Guardian Angels as well as these Archangels, in particular St. Michael the Archangel whom God has comissioned to "Guard us in Battle" against satan. St. Michael the Archangel, protect us all, against the snares and deceits of the evil one who prowls about seeking whom he can devour. Amen.
