In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. John 20:7;"And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself."

And the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds.

Leviticus 20:24;"But I have said unto you, You shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to posses it, a land that flows with milk and honey: I am the Lord thy God, which have separated you from other people."

Numbers 8:14;"Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from amoung the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine."

Numbers 16:9;"Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near unto himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto him?"

Ezra 6:21;"And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the Lord God of Israel, did eat."

Blessed is the servant whom his Lord has given meat in due season.

Ezekiel 42:13;"Then said he unto me, The north chanbers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the Lord shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy."

Ezekiel 42:10;"The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, over against the separate place, and over against the building."

Ezekiel 41:12;"Now the building that was before the separate place at the end toward the west was seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof was ninety cubits."

70x90=6300; just as 42 months x 150 days = 6300. But what say you of the thickness?

John 21:8;"And the other disciples came in a little ship;( for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes."

Were there not 153 great fishes?

I thought you said there was no more mystery left in our relationship?

I could try to explain it to you, but if you do not speak the language of numbers, then how can you hear?

Let me show you a couple of things, without getting too deep into the numbers.

In 2 Kings 1:9-1:10-1:11-1:13 we see a captain of 50 with his 50 were sent to retrieve Elijah from the top of the hill. And as we know the captain of the 50 was consumed by the fire from heaven along with his 50 men. This was done (3 x )to show the sign of time. If you take the 3 captains sent with their 50; or 50 soldiers x 3 = 150 + 3 captains = 153.

But this means nothing unless you understand all the other numbers, and their meanings concerning the signs of time.

For instance in the last chapter of Jeremiah we are shown many numbers to go by to understand this mystery of time. I will just show you one of those signs to keep it simple.

We are told in Jeremiah that Nebuchadnezzar carried away captive of Judah, during (3 separate occasions) 4600 people. If you divide 4600 people by 30 pieces of silver you will get 153 great fishes.

This is not only a sign of time given for the fulness of the Gentiles, or the(great fishes), but it is also given as a sign of those who were purchased at a price.

I hope I did not confuse, peace.

Okay okay, that was much better and more simplified, I can perhaps better see how they might relate. Thank you.

Money in the mouth of a fish is also shown correct? Would this correlate somewhat bro?

God bless you brother

The Apostles were all Jews and were familiar with Gematria.
Gematria or gimatria (Hebrew: גימטריה‎, gēmaṭriyā) is a system of assigning numerical value to a word or phrase, in the belief that words or phrases with identical numerical values bear some relation to each other, or bear some relation to the number itself as it may apply to a person's age, the calendar year, or the like. It is likely that the term derives from the order of the Greek alphabet, gamma being the third letter of the Greek alphabet (gamma + tria).[1] Alternatively, the word "gematria" is generally held to derive from Greek geōmetriā, "geometry", which was used as a translation of gēmaṭriyā, though some scholars believe it to derive from Greek grammateia, rather; it's possible that both words had an influence on the formation of the Hebrew word.[2] It has been extant in English since the 17th century from translations of works by Giovanni Pico della Mirandola. Although ostensibly derived from Greek, it is largely used in Jewish texts, notably in those associated with the Kabbalah.
The best-known example of Gematria is the Hebrew word Chai ("life"), which is composed of two letters which (using the assignments in the Mispar gadol table shown below) add up to 18. This has made 18 a "lucky number" among Jews, and gifts in multiples of 18 are very common among Jews.
Some identify two forms of gematria: the "revealed" form, which is prevalent in many hermeneutic methods found throughout Rabbinic literature, and the "mystical" form, a largely Kabbalistic practice.[3]

I suspect that 153 in Gematria reveals a secret word that only those who know Hebrew are able to understand.

I did a search on the internet.......

Let us look at the Gematria of 153 in the Holy Scriptures.

In John's Gospel in the New Testament, we are told that after the resurrection, Simon Peter, James and John went fishing. Yeshua met them and told them to cast their net on the right side of the ship. They caught an unexpected multitude of fish, and in John 21:11 we are told that they caught 153 fishes.

Is there any significance behind the number 153? Why mention 153 fish specifically? Does the Gematria of 153 mean anything?

153 is indeed a very significant number if we look at Hebrew Gematria. "It just so happens" that the Gematria for the phrase "the sons of God (Elohim)" in Hebrew adds up to 153.

Let's take a closer look at this amazing example of Gematria. The phrase "the sons of God" in Hebrew is as follows:

The Hebrew phrase is bne haElohim. Remember that in the construct state in Hebrew (i.e. the sons of God), the prefix ha (meaning the) goes with the second noun, not the first.

Now, let's calculate the Gematria of this phrase in Hebrew. There are two words, bne (the sons of) and Elohim (God).

Bne has three Hebrew letters – Bet, Nun and Yod. Bet has a Gematria of 2, Nun has a Gematria of 50, and Yod has a Gematria of 10, giving a total Gematria of 62.

HaElohim has six Hebrew letters. Heh has a Gematria of 5, Alef has a Gematria of 1, Lamed has a Gematria of 30, Heh has a Gematria of 5, Yod has a Gematria of 10, and Mem has a Gematria of 40. Thus, the total Gematria is 91.

If we add 62 and 91, the Gematria for the whole phrase (the sons of God) is 153! Thus, the Gematria of the sons of God (Elohim) in Hebrew adds up to 153. Amazing, but true!

We must always check that Gematria is relevant to the context of a passage in Scripture. In this case, 153 is a symbol (in Gematria) for the sons of God. This is highly relevant to the passage. Symbolically, Peter, James and John were going to become leaders of the early Christian movement. They were going to become fishers of men, just as Yeshua told them they would at the start of his ministry in Matthew 4:19 and Mark 1:17. The parable about becoming fishers of men that Jesus told them at the start of his ministry is fulfilled at the end, after the resurrection, when they catch 153 fishes, symbolically catching the sons of God in the net. The net, of course, is a parable of the coming Judgement. (Remember Yeshua's parable in Matthew 13:47-50).

This example illustrates how Hebrew Gematria can help to shed some fascinating new light on numbers in Scripture. You now know the meaning of the 153 fishes!

I believe the money in the mouth of the fish in Matthew 17:27 has more to do with the estimation of the man seen in the law. Which would be shown by a different set of numbers, but all are related to the big picture, so to speak. But I don't think your ready to go there just yet.

Let me give you an example of how the numbers are shown in different ways, but are still connected to the same design so to speak.

If you take the verse numbers I gave you in 2 Kings and add them up together you will get; 109+110+111+113= 443. Now divide that 443 by 666= .66.

Now if you take 1,980 years and divide it by 30 pieces of silver you will also get 66. 1980 divided by (3 times) = 660 feet or a furlong.

Though the numbers used are different, they still show the same design.
In these things we see the design of the Master Carpenter.

Here is something else you might find pretty cool.

If you take the total number of chapters in the 4 gospels, which is 89 chapters. And divide those 89 by the 4 gospels you will get 22.2. Now if you take that 1,980 years and divide it by the 89 chapters you will also get 22.2. And of course 22.2 x 3 times = 66.6

People may think these things are just coincidence, but I know better.

Peace.

There interesting little factoids with the numbers thing, but just because one can play with numbers, divide this one with that, times that one with this, doesn't really mean much to me (personally). It's not that I don't think the bible uses numbers for prophecy or to convey something, e.g. the 490 years prophecy in Daniel, the reference to times time and divinding of time in prohecy, 1260 days etc, how a week can mean a week but also 7 years etc, etc etc.

I just think that it's too easy to come up with our own theories and then look for ways to prove them with numbers.

If all of these numbers pointed to obeying the teachings of Jesus, i.e. leading people closer to his truth, then I might be more interested, but from what I see, they are generally just interesting correlations that may or may not have much relevance.

I think the real signs of the times are those that Jesus mentioned, people are too busy buying and selling, getting married and having kids, to think about what God wants.

I kind of agree with that, I do think the numbers in scriptures are kool, I would love to see how God wraps them into Christ and through him into things I can understand better verses a bunch of numbers I am not to up with. I dont know the Lord any better through numbers and communicating becomes difficult with any edification when things are centered around them alone. I try to be a bit balanced, and note their uniqueness, wish I could understand better but its not something I want to be diverted into I suppose.

My passion is seeing the cross of Christ, knowing its the wisdom of God, and watching the scriptures pour into the center of it. Thats amazing to me and gives me some kind of "gravity" to my growing knowledge. However, if I dont pick up my own cross (too) I only have knowledge. Though one builds up my faith the other my life in obedience to Him.

Not perfect but I hope I am at least aiming in the right direction, in both doctrine and life:thumbsup:

Trying to keep it simple too (for me anyway)

God bless you

The numbers given in scripture, are scripture; and like the written Word they are also given to us by God for good reason. But like scripture they also can be misinterpreted by man to fit into his own ideaology. But even like many ideas based on scripture, many people will dismiss those things they do not understand.

Understanding in scripture is not based on the knowledge of any man, nor can it be learned through mans own knowledge, but it is only revealed to men by way of God's Holy Spirit. Before recieving the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the revelation of Jesus Christ, I did not understand most scripture, neither did I even consider the signs given in the law, or in the numbers given in the written Word.

But by the understanding given to me through Gods grace, I could then see, and understand the deep things hidden within scripture by way of Gods Spirit of Truth.

The Lord did not give us all these numbers for no reason, just as the measurements of the ark, tabernacle, and Temple, are not given in vain. The Lord wants us to search them out by faith in his ability to reveal them to us, just like the rest of scripture.

I have prophesied several things on these forums, and in many different posts. These things I have prophesied are based on signs, visions, and understanding in not only in the numbers given in scripture, but also understanding given in the scriptures themselves by way of Gods Spirit.

But one of the biggest signs I have been shown through the numbers, and also through scripture is the fulfilling of the time that shall be completed in the Nation of Israel after 66 years from her conception in 1948.

Based on the numbers, this sign of time would be like the stars and planets lineing themselves up in a row.

But like it was in the days of Noah, many people will take the wait and see approach to prophecy.

SpiritInTruth, if the knowledge of numbers is not given to some then theres nothing they can do save seek the Lord and serve Him where they are. In all my years in Christ I have not known the numbers of things, and though I find them fascinating I havent found them edifying because I dont have understanding of them.

Sorta like if you are looking at a wall Einstien just wrote all over, others who know numbers well (only) could correct that, if there were a number out of place they would know it because they are skilled in it. But the others would most likely look at it with a sorta blank stare and not be too edified. Not just in understanding, but even how to discuss it, or even know where to start if its incorrect. The advantage is on the side of the expert (so to speak).

For example, Davids concumbines were counted on something you were showing, ten women which were in ward until death, the question then becomes why are these (specifically) counted, or ten men but not the ten princes. So I sat with it for some time (giving it a go, as I am willing to take a look) and certain things I cannot make sense of. That doesnt mean you are wrong, but I cannot tell, given I cannot tell I am unable to prove it and if I cannot prove it (either way) I can only take someones word for it, see what I mean? It becomes unfruitful to me because I cannot make sense of it, not nessesarily because its wrong. I am content not knowing somethings and just keep my eyes on Him and do as He says, because I cannot know of myself till He makes a thing known to me.

However, heres the thing, you might understand this (seeing this before) there are so many who want us to prove their works (or understanding in scripture) there just isnt enough time to do all that. Folks would need to stop their own seeking of the Lord (leave off His doctrine) and turn to study out anothers things. Especially if it requires alot of time and is complex (filled with multiplication of numbers, divisions decibles etc) as these things are. I would not leave off from where I am in the Lord to ever do that, I am not inclined that way. You should understand that because you dont advocate hearing men on things over seeking the Lord for oneself (whether correct or incorrect in doctrine or teaching). Him first (despite them) wherever one is. However, on your part (if you feel the genuine urgency for folks to see these things) you might need to oversimplify it (bringing it down to the level of where folks are). So they dont feel as estranged to the conversation. You yourself know you cannot throw up pie square to someone learning addition, the only thing the person can behold is wow, "look at all them numbers, decibles, divisions and things in the middle "tossed in" (what am I to do or say about that?). That is basically all that left for them to say. So they feel (either) left out) quite stupid to it (or a bit suspicious to it) given the apostles didnt converse with people like that. And since most folks cant even touch it to even prove it so its best left alone (altogether) because of that. See what I mean? It can actually be compareble to a different tongue (speaking in mathematics, pie square, or whatever one might call it).

Know what I am trying to say? I am not too good at articulating myself bro but I can get why folks are sometimes stand offish to it. I try to pursue the things which I can apply, in respects to proving Jesus Christ (so others can believe in Him) be faithful where I am (without going beyond my measure) and such numbers (in combination) are beyond my ability to prove out so I'll have to be in the dark about that, till the Lord sees it fit for me to see the light in respects to them. I am certainly not knocking them, but at this time I feel no desire to pursue them

I like when you share without all those numbers actually, you can be very clear and easy to understand and oftentimes pretty enjoyable. I benefit much more from you then actually

Peace my brother, God bless you:thumbsup:

I understand what you are saying, and I in no way condemn any man for his lack of understanding in the scriptures. But it is a mans lack of faith in God and in his Word that shall condemn him in the end.

You may not trust in your own ability and understanding to tear a car engine apart and rebuild it, and put it all back together again so that it runs perfectly. But you do trust in someones elses ability to do that work for you. And just like the inner workings of a car, you need not understand all the mechanics of it to be able to trust in its ability to get you to point A and B safely and on time.

Just as a believer in Jesus need not be able to build a house, in order to be able to live in the House that the Lord has built for him.

But to some God has given the ability to see the design of the House, and its measurements by which it is builded by the Lord. Thereby knowing when the time would come that the house would be complete.

Many look at scripture, and the signs given in world events, and in nature to conclude that we are drawing closer to that great and terrible day of the Lord. I do as well, but I also use my God given ability to discern the signs and numbers in scripture to confirm that this is that time to come. It is much like another tool in a carpenters tool belt, they all have a place in the final work, and they all serve a purpose.

Many may not of understood how Joseph could interpret dreams, or how Daniel could reveal the signs of the times, but those who believed them were better off for it; whether they understood it or not. Many may not have understood how Jesus could heal the sick, or raise the dead, but for those who believed, they also were better off for it.

And just like a weather man has many tools at his disposal to discern the coming weather forecast, so too has the Lords children many tools to discern the signs of the time. But much like those who ignore a weather mans forecast for rain will most likely get wet, so too will those who ignore the warnings given by the Lords disciples suffer for it.

My place is not to worry about who will understand it or not, or who will believe or not in the testimony I have been given. My place is just to give it, whether people believe it or not.

I understand my brother, you know I dont judge you or mock you or believe you are less the Lords (or any such thing) and I acknowledge likewise that folks have different gifts, and we cannot say to one, "I have no need of you" neither would I ever say that to you, because I have told you (as you know) that you have been a blessing to me, and also that you should not change as God leads you, but that doesnt change I become a foreigner to your sharing because these things are way over my head, and I am 24 years old in the Lord, and you know I seek to understand his words better and I dont study the works of other men just the scriptures and its hard for me, so its hard for me even, and usually I have no problem searching a thing out, but you (and I) well know this is not my strong point, but weak, and is why I was drawn somewhat to you (in that strength) somewhat. I am Chicapeas freind if you remember her (the one she said to you, I have a freind who was reading you and loved alot of your posts). That was me.

That was when I voluntarily banned myself so as to step aside from this place for awhile and break off my participation for about 5 months. Then you showed up, and I couldnt respond any, just read, and was definately blessed in some things by you brother.

You are just way over my head is all bro, and you cant help that, but maybe if you can come down some (which I have seen you do). You know you can, then folks can hear you better, I know I can

God richly bless you brother ((hugs))

I had the feeling you were related to Chicapea by your kind words, and also by the description of your location, not to mention your join date. I noticed those things the other day, but I did not feel it was necessary to mention them.

I hope you understand that not everything I say, or speak is directed just to you, but it is also given to others who may hear as well.

I am persuaded by our conversations in times past that you have a good sound understanding of the scriptures, just as I am also confident that you are truly born of Gods Spirit. And to be honest with you I don't have that kind of confidence in too many people.

And you are correct, to the simple we must be simple, and feed those babes in Christ with with that simple milk of the gospel. But to the mature, we must also be mature, for they too desire that meat of the gospel that only the mature can stomach.

And you my friend are no babe in Christ, but are truly ready for that strong meat, don't sell yourself short.

It was said of Mary that many of the things that Jesus said to her she did not understand, but even still she kept those sayings in her heart. And even though the apostles did not understand many of those parables which Jesus taught them right away, they also would be revealed to them afterward by the Holy Spirit.

If I speak anything to you that you do not understand right away, all I ask of you is that you keep those sayings in your heart; often times the Lord reveals those hidden things to us in their own due time.

Many blessings to you my friend, and give my best wishes to Chicapea as well. Peace be with you both, and God bless.

I used to be pretty stubborn and pigheaded till I met Chicapea, she has a transforming effect on folks, I always felt two inches big after I went a bit beyond my measure and got a little proud. She has that effect on you without beating you over the head with it ^_^

She always melted me by her kindness and great humility, that woman hasnt a mean bone in her body love her to pieces in Christ

Thank God for the body of Christ really, and I thank God for you as well my brother I have benefited from alot of our little conversations here.

You are such a blessing bro

God bless you (I will tell her too)
