Sending story for publication.

I have written a few stories over the past year and want to send some of them away for possible publication. I took a Creative Writing class last semester, but it didn't seem to help. So I would like to ask you, as Christians and friends, to take a look at the story I am thinking of sending out and give me your thoughts on it. first, what's the story about? is it fantasy/sci-fi or some other genre?

I will look at it if you want, but you should know that my genre of interest is contemporary fiction, so if you write in sci-fi or fantasy, what I have to say might not be as helpful, but I would still be willing to read.

I'd be happy to, and if it's a sci-fi or fantasy, I know a lot about publishing in that market--I read up on it a TON, but my first manuscript simply wasn't good enough--it stunk , my new one will be *much* better.
