Revelation 12:8
8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liarsthey will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.
I think that torment doesn't = torture if one deserves punishment it surely cannot be considered torture can it?Do you think it is moral for God to torture me forever because the brain He gave me is apparently malfunctioning and won't believe in Him? Does that sound like a loving God to you?
Do you think it is moral to torture someone forever because of their beliefs?
You mean, if you can force yourself to believe in something you can't reconcile with reality?

No force. No need to force. Force will not do it.
Reality is reality. It means different thing to different people. No force is needed.
I see some realities more real than you can see. And I do not force myself into faith.
Cool. I hereby declare I will not willingly submit myself to eternal torture.
Actually, I'm positive nobody is going to willingly submit themselves to eternal torture, so what is the point of Hell if no one is going to go there?
Or was God telling the truth when he said in Revelations 12:8 that He will torture unbelievers forever in Hell?
No force. No need to force. Force will not do it.

You are not improving. God will NOT torture.
He set up a torturing chamber. Those who like to go there, get tortured.
Yes, the question is how not to go there. God is also very clear on that. One has to fight against God in order to go there. If you said to God: Hey, I don't believe you. Then you are fighting God. If you said to your friend: Hey, Christian God is fake, don't believe. Then you are fighting God hard. If you do that, you will fall into that Lake. God did not put you there, you did.
So those people whose brains can't be like yours and "see some realities more real than you can see", deserve to be burned alive for all eternity?
...
Nobody "deserve" to be burnt. Anyone (include those who really "deserve") can stop right on the edge of the firing lake, and turn around.
That's ridiculous. No one is going to like being burned alive for all eternity.
Nobody chooses to be burned alive for all eternity. So the fact is God puts people in Hell. And he is going to burn people alive for all eternity for the "crime" of not believing in him. Do you think that is moral?
No they can't. You can't make yourself believe something you don't believe.
Could you make yourself believe pink unicorns orbit the earth without evidence?
Well, call it what you will. It's suffering being burned alive for all eternity.
Are you saying that you don't choose to have faith in things (believe) that everything you believe in you can't choose? I say believing in God can be considered similar to believing many things you take for granted in life today.Do you think it's moral to burn someone alive for all eternity for a belief which they cannot control, such as not believing in God?
You certainly can try. Why can't you?
If you can't reconcile the belief with reality, it would indeed require forcing.
Either that, or you would have to play psychological games with yourself.
So you are currently trying to convince yourself that pink unicorns orbit the earth. Alrighty then....
Force won't work. It has been proven.
Force is not needed. Reality does not conflict with faith. Faithful people either do not ask question to reality, or ask the deepest question to reality. Either way, the reality could reinforce faith.
Sure, the same way you can try not believing in God.
