  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

-I wonder if you will every truly be happy with an attitude like that or if you will continue the facade until the bitter end.

-I wish you nothing but happiness in life! I hope you get married and have babies soon and that most of your dreams come true! Not all because then you wouldn't appreciate some of the dreams that do come true as much

Some of these people aren't even on here to read them, but oh well:

I wish you would come back, so I could tell you that I noticed that you left, and I wish I had been more open to getting to know you when I had the chance because I think you were an interesting person.

I think what happened between us was a strange coincidence, and one of those stories that I will always remember when I think of divine interventions-it would make a good story on CF if I had the guts to tell it. I wish we had became better friends and I hadn't cut our friendship off so awkwardly, I'm sorry even if you don't remember now and think my apology is unneccessary.

I wish I could make myself less sensitive to the things you say, maybe it comes with more time, more space.

1) I have a fair amount of respect for you, even though I think your being imprudent and foolish in revealing your heart. It's also likely to scare some people away.

2) It would be very easy for me to pick certain stories out of the bible, especially the Old Testament, and declare "this book is immoral!" "not fit for children!" "not fit for Christians!". And yet, in dismissing the whole by a part, I'd certainly be missing something. Think about this before making a generalisaton or characterisation based on limited knowledge.

3) Purrrrrr...me gray matter appreciates and admires most of your posts. Got Lecithin?

#1 and #3 apply to single persons. #2 applies to multiple persons.
