Word on the street about DTS is that they are questioning whether or not they are dispensationalist or ultra-dispensationalist. I would question going to a school that is questioning their stance on this issue seeing that they have been adament about dispensationalism. From my understanding, they pretty much wrote the book on it.

Hello everybody,

I am considering going into full-time ministry. I have been thinking of going to seminary after college (I am currently a sophomore in college). What theological seminary did you go to? Or, if you didn't attend a seminary, do you have any to recommend? I would prefer an Evangelical-minded theological seminary.

I have also very recently surrendered to preach(as you all probably know by my recent posts) and am contemplating not if I should go but where I should be. I have thoroughly weighed the pros and cons of each respective school and yet still do not have a clear and concise answer. I am faithful that the Lord will answer my prayers and questions as to when and where, and then He will make provisions for me to attend a place that is most glorifying to Him. I am hopeful that the the credits that I already have(since I too am a sophomore in college) will transfer and that all of that work is not fruitless. If anyone has insight or advice, it would be much appreciated. I will continue to pray fervently for these answers, and know that I will receive them in His time. I will certainly be praying for your ministry. As of right now, I will be taking some correspondence courses through the Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas...and or the Christian Baptist College out of Shreveport, Louisiana. I don't know your denomination and would not yet recommend these two to any great degree as I have yet to experience the education therein. But at the risk of sounding redundant, Nehemiah...you've got my vote. Go GOD! ! ! !

I will be applying to Calvin Theological Seminary and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, both in Grand Rapids Michigan. Of course Calvin is my first choice.

If I had the luxury of moving I would seriously consider Wheaton College Graduate School, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, or Talbot School of Theology.

I think you have your dispensationalist theologies mixed up;) DTS is not moving Ultra/Hyper, but moving progressive dispensationalism.
