  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi all,

This is my first post in this forum:clap:

I am a theology student from New Zealand, currently completing a Masters, but looking at where do to my PhD for the 2005/6 years onward.

I am interested in mission studies and so have been looking at both Fuller Theological and Asbury Seminaries.

Would anyone out there have any info on their intercultural programmes?

Also i have general questions about living on campus.

Any and all info much appreciated:)

I really think Seminary is very important for any minister. I have an undergraduate degree in Biology and feel rather short when it comes to the scripture. I myself start my PhD study in Old Testament history this summer (July). I wish you all the best in your pursuit and know the trials that await you.

I believe that as ministers it is very important that we try to increase our understanding of the scripture through several means. I would suggest you read every book you can get your hands about the scriptures as well as your professional study.
