SELFIES

is anyone else here sick of selfies? Facebook is full of them and I imagine the other social media sites have their fill. I've noticed that most selfies on my feed are taken by very pretty girls. They take multiple selfies a day. I want to ask them why. Is anyone else sick of selfies and why do you think people feel the need to take them?

I don't think selfies are inherently good or bad, I mean a picture has no intrinsic moral value. The selfie culture is getting out of control though, and if a person is missing the world around them because they're caught up in taking selfies everywhere they go, then that needs to be fixed.

Depends. Taking a picture of yourself with a landmark while on vacation is fine. I don't mind tasteful selfies.

What I am sick of are selfies where people try to look sassy while adding #selfie to it.

I'm fine with them.What's so bad about them? Selfies arent a new thing..they've been around ever since photography was invented.

I will admit it annoys me when people take selfies and they make a stupid face or weird smile..its like...whoa, you're so sassy and cool.

I only take selfies if there's an occasion or area I really want a photo and I have no one else there to take one for me

I really don't take them much at all and yes, all the selfies are a bit much all over facebook. I don't think people need to 'see' what I'm doing during my day. One picture is enough, honestly.

Other people's selfies don't bother me, although I do tease my best friend about being vain. (he takes a LOT of selfies.)

Personally, I take one or two selfies a month.

No, I don't care. It's my responsibility to block them or not use social media if I don't want to see them.

In my opinion, there is so much yuck in the world, that if anyone wants to post a picture in where they feel beautiful and confident a million times a day, go ahead. I'd rather have that in my feed then posts about how all guys are losers and the "woe is me" posts all day. But again, post whatever you want. I don't have to read or see anything if I don't want to. Absolutely. Yes.

I personally don't like taking selfies, and have to be coerced to do so But if someone else is having a great day, and really feeling confident I don't have an issue. And if I think it's becoming a little excessive, there is usually a way to avoid it lol.

I am happy that Pinksweetart chose to post a selfie as she is amazingly pretty and I am happy to see a pretty woman at places like this. I bet there are quiet a few pretty women here but they are afraid to take selfies.
