• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Each day there r something coming out to my head which stops me to have a normal life, such as: I have a bad sleeping dress, a bad washing habit, etc etec, I do not know those things r important or not, they become so bigger and bigger in my minds, that it destroying my self confidence to do anything, so i become stuck again...
Is it still because of my past abuse life?

i believe the past can influence the present state of mind. there are often spiritual ans psychological factors combined influencing our thinking styles in this world. I encourage you to keep spending time with Jesus in the Bible and prayer and ask God to help you do those things you need to do, and not to worry about doing everything at once. Life is similar as a staircase, sometimes God gives many steps at once, and sometimes only a few, but He is still with us as His children.

maybe putting in new thoughts to replace those bad ones will help you. I used to have bad thoughts in my head all day long. Now I've learned those thoughts don't have to tell me what to do.

Listening to bible on tapes has helped me tremendously. Walkmen is a great tool

It probably is from past abuse, but also we all need to be renewed in our minds to the truth of God's word, and so it's also part of the Life in Christ.

Romans 12:2

It is hard to let go of the old and let the new come. The Lord can be your strength in this. Ask Him and He will give you it. We are not to take our journey alone. But with the Lord. I think you are taking the first step:

1 Peter 5: 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Dear Beloved,

I am not a professional, but you sound like you might be fighting with depression. Do you have a counselor or pastor you can talk to, who can help you with your feelings?

Depression can be anger turned inward.

And also anger is one of the steps of the grieving process. Humans can grieve when they lose something important to them, not only when a person dies.

I pray that God our Father would lead you in the way you should go, that He would provide someone for you to talk to, someone who can help you, and also provide the peace of heart and mind that you need.

God loves you. You are precious in His sight.

I request you to read the Bible daily. pls spend more time in ur Bible studies than you had done before. While you walk arround, sing a song of praise, but the song should come from your heart. Dont give much importnce to the tone but to the meaning of the song. The evil sprit,the causator will not diturb you anymore, belive in our loving Jesus Christ. I will pray for you
