  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I woke up the other day to the sounds of DDs feet shuffling on the carpet (my usual alarm clock)

I told DH 'we forgot to set the alarm!' (we had an early midwife apointment).

He said 'no it has been going off for half an hour' (meaning 3 snoozes)

How is it that I hear the soft sounds of a carpet but not the obnoxious noise of the alarm! (and since that morenign I have noticed I never hear his alarm, but always am the first to point out one of the kids is comming)

I'm the same way - I can hear our newborn make the smallest whimper - or I can hear our daughter down the hall when she opens her bedroom door. But - the alarm has to be right next to me in order for me to hear it. We used to keep it on the night stand - nope - I wouldn't hear it. Now it sits right next to my pilow because I get up WAY before anyone else does in the house.

I don't know why it is:sorry:
