I recently bought a Sega Genesis for US $20.
I got my first Genesis for Christmas when I was six, then when I was 9 or so I traded it with my friend for his super nintendo. Then I bought a nomad, and a couple years later I sold it... :sigh:
I've been in a old school gaming mood lately so I bought me another genesis. :)

Anyway, I'm looking for some must have games. I already have NBA Jam, Road Rash 2 and Sonic 3.
I'm looking for General Chaos.
I can't remember all the games I used to have, so what are some good ones?

:D

----------------
+Altered Beast
+Golden Axe
+Streets of Rage 2
+Gauntlet 4
+Castlevania
+Shadowrun

They had the sega cd attachment, but it was $45... Didn't have enough money. ;)

ToeJam and Earl is awesome! :D

Right now we're having trouble getting a clear picture on the TV... It's in the same room as the computer. When we turn the computer on, and play genesis at the same time the TV goes black and white and snowy, and even when the computer isn't on the picture still tends to go black and white. (it's a color TV) It's an older TV. We're going to try to find a plug in so I can hook it up in my room... (a newer TV)

Gain Ground, Gauntlet IV, Shadowrun. Obviously Lunar and Lunar 2 if you can get the CD version.

I just found a copy of Gain Ground for $5, although I had to clean the contacts myself.

If you can find Rings of Power, it's great, but don't buy it without the manual, which is HUGE.

Hmm...never played that one...Whats it about?

Hey there! This is my first review for nostalgia-gaming.com so I’ll hope you’ll have the patience to read it.

General Chaos is Sega Genesis game for 2 players (or 4 if you have the adapter lead). This game is set during a conflict between two teams, commanded by General Chaos and General Havoc. You, take control of General Chaos’ army. You take command of five commandos ranging from grenadiers, riflemen, flamethrowers, bazookas and TNT dudes.

Combat is real time, so it’s not like Final Fantasy or anything. The concept of the game is too literally blast the opposition to absolute kingdom come. You can take control of either one soldier and let him battle it out and watch the rest of your team fight it out automatically, or take your soldiers into a suicide mission and have a full scale death-match!

You play on a certain map; each one is different, ranging from an abandoned heli-pad to a derelict city. There are sudden death hazards as well, such as standing right next to an oil soaked Apache helicopter, and then watching the opposition fire a rocket. BANG. You and anyone else in the area are
obliterated. Oh yeah!

What I find quite amusing is the way certain people sink better then others in places like rivers or lakes. Bazooka soldiers will sink like stones, however the lightly armed TNT people have a better chance of swimming ashore.

One slightly unique aspect of General Chaos is the melee combat. If you come up close to an enemy soldier, you will enter hand-to-hand combat. The world around you freezes and you just literally have to bash A and B on the control pad like some deranged loony until one of you is KO ed. Fun. In small doses that is.

The multiplayer is probably the main aspect. Its great fun to whup your mate’s ****. But it could turn out, that you’re the one that’s be completely torched by their five flamethrowers!!!

This game is generally insane, pointless fun and there is no doubt about that. However this game does lose its appeal after a while, and one player will get pretty boring and repetitive.

However, if you want absolutely pandemonium, and you’re a Sega Genesis fan, then THIS is a must buy.

I hope you enjoyed reading my review!!!
