  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

hi luv,
I have an article at the other place about the SEER anointing, you may want to check it out. I guess it can also be a part of discerning of gifts, but I always thought it fell under the prophetic.
Bless you sis!

I would suggest that you re-read the New Testament regarding our commission as given to us by Jesus himself, and then re-read the words about the gifts of the Spirit laid out for us, and disregard any word from man that declares anything other than what God says through His Son and the disciples. If you need help finding that information, let me know.

A prophet fortells the future and is moved by God, a seer foregrasps the future and is stationed by God.

The difference is slight but while there were many prophets in the past, there will be a number of seers in future.

That is the extent of what I know, save one thing, I believe seers have a greater strength in the word of knowledge (given that the future is so immanent to them).

Don't limit God! He is still sovereign and gives gifts as HE chooses, according to HIS will. People still like to keep you under their thumb as evidenced in this thread, but where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty!
Amen Amen Amen BluhdoftheLamb -- I love the freedom & liberty Papa gives His kids! We don't need to be all sour and overly worried if our heart is for Him, He will lead the way (and yeah it will be scriptural!)

SEER anointing
I do understand the caution about Christian lingo and trends... attaching "the anointing" makes it sound like only special people approved by a head minister can be allowed to serve Christ's Body with it.
Do a study on who in the Bible was able to see beyond the natural, why, and whether it was a lifetime calling or specific to the events and needs.

In my experience... people receive advance warnings; hunches or visions about what is to come; an ability to "see" what sort of spirits are present; and what their intents are (size too); sensing a physical ailment or emotional wound that could be remedied by praying for God's intervention; a special knack for tying together major prophecies with newsworthy events; an ability to receive and organize a download of information (like Moses and the tablets) that carry a sensible plan; hearing from God about inventions; sensing immediate prayer needs without having the information; sensing when people need encouragement, and more.

With that broad collection in mind, I think that every believer has God's Holy Spirit in them and hears/sees beyond the natural. We all have His anointing because we are His children.

But back to what others said, I think the term means prophecy.
