Seeing the Star Wars premier!

My mom just got tickets for the 12:01 showing of Star Wars: III. I just bought a light saber (fully collapsable so I can just carry around the hilt) and found my old green saber that's much bigger.

Who else is going to see the first showing?

Although, the personality they gave to some of the Battle Droids was..unnecessary. They are produced for battle, not for thought.

But that was just a little touch that gave them charm. Like the little scurrying droids, R2, and the many aliens. Each species in this series has something that makes it delightfully wierd and unique, I thought the droid's personalities were a nice touch. Just a little icing on the cake.

Yeah, but they're battle droids. I don't want them to have charm. They need to be cold and cruel, run only by the orders by their sith builders. Shoot first, ask questions later, then shoot again. I can understand giving an astromech droid (R2-D2) and a protocol droid (C3-PO) personalities, cause they are companions.

I dunno, just a small complaint. Still an uber movie.

I kinda liked how they had a little personality. Some times it was kinda...odd, but they were nifty dudes!

I want the final trilogy made. Lucas really hit the mark with this one and seems to be reaching his stride(as far as the new movies). Hopefully a good reception can get him to reconsider actually doing the final trilogy.

There is a trilogy of books which caries on the story as well which is very exelent, you should check out the Thrawn trilogy (Grand admiral Thrawn is my fav SW character )

I've read the Thrawn trilogy actually. It's the only series of SW books that I've really liked. I enjoyed Shadows of the Empire as well, but that took place between ESB and ROTJ.

Originally Mr Lucas was going to do 9 movies. 3 before and 3 set after the original movies. So no it was not the final trilogy.

Oh no, not the tan colored ones, I mean the big blue guys with huge upper halves. Also, what was up with it saying "ow..."? Robots don't feel...

I am amused that everyone thinks that Palpatine is truthful. He is a liar!!! Why believe what he says about Darth plageous? He is selling Anakin a story to seduce him.

He is also twisting the truth and telling Vader a lie at the end of the movie. Without giving anything away, Amadalla, is ... well, I can't say it without giving something away.

Changing the subject

I am interested in the connection between SW and Christianity. I've seen a lot of people fall from God in the last thirty years. I wondered how he would make it realistic.

After seeing what Anakin does, I must say that I have less Respect for Darth Vader than I did. Somehow, I had a better "picture" of him before he did the stuff he did.
