There are heterosexuals in the "Christian Ethics" forum telling everyone sex outside of marriage is not a sin. Seems they want to justify their sin too. Read this...
It's a sad day when a "christian" forum has debates about homosexuality and premarital sex. Jesus said to deny yourself and take up your cross...not if it feels good, do it!
The rich man turned around and walked off because he wanted eternal life, but he wasnt willing to follow Jesus. These days people want it both ways - I'll take the eternal life please, but that part about following Jesus...
The Bible does not contain a law, an example or a word that designates sexual activity by single people illegal. Therefore it is impossible to honestly state that "The Bible condemns sex by single people." Being repeated numberless times by church authorities does not make it true. The fact is that God did not say it. We would expect to find some kind of Biblical statement that upholds the current dogma that says, "Sexual activity within the confines of heterosexual monogamous marriage only." There is no Divine statement that says this. This dogma rest on no more substantial foundation than subjective human interpretation..it is HUMAN conclusion, not Divine statement! Such a position denies the reality expressed by dozens of Biblical passages that demonstrate various circumstances in which sex either was, or could have been enjoyed outside of marriage and with apparent Divine approval.
Eph. 3:20
