CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

anyone mention Marylin Manson's Personal Jesus? as in reach out and tough faith... The singer may make some blanch but the words to the song are pretty good.

Actually that would be Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus. And the words of the song may contain 'Jesus' and 'faith' but it's not particularly Christian.

Just a quick thing about "Sunday Bloody Sundau" - U2...
On January 30, 1972, soldiers from the British Army's 1st Parachute Regiment opened fire on unarmed and peaceful civilian demonstrators in the Bogside, Derry, Ireland, near the Rossville flats, killing 13 and wounding a number of others. One wounded man later died from illness attributed to that shooting.
Bono is extremely political and has strong religious beliefs but i personally think that Sunday Bloody Sunday is a political statement rather than religious. but that is not saying anything about his other songs.

Note, most thrice songs are about God/christian themes...at least in they're last album, but the best is by far "Like Moths to Flame" which happens to be my current favorite song! :] Its about Peter betraying Jesus, It could also be about Judus somewhat...listen to it please, its awesome.
