Secrets



In my mind I wonder

If I will be betrayed

Do my best friends plunder?

My friendship band has frayed



Are the secrets that I hid

About to be revealed

Will I tell the things I did?

Or will they stay concealed



Are my secrets safe with you

Is it you who can be told?

Or will you betray me to

My secrets I’ll withhold



Cause secrets told before today

Have somehow been let out

Will your trust be here to stay?

My mind is filled with doubt



Can I tell you I’m not sure?

For if the truth was spilled

The aftermath I’d not endure

With woe I would be filled



So if I keep you in the dark

Don hate me for it ok

My secrets you should not embark

It has to be this way

cool. We learn a lot about self-disclosure in my speech communication classes (college courses). Some people disclose faster than others, and many times they do it in order to get a responce and more information from the second party. Also the less personal the communication method is (via phone, or i-net) the more comfortable some one is in disclosing personal information.

Sorry for the education lesson, but it's something I find highly intersting. As far as your poem is concerned, I do like it, but I think it would sound nicer if you tried adding more sylables in your poetry, even if it's just adding an extra word. Makes the rhyming and poem sound more complex.
