  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Buddies will be assigned via PM on Sat. Dec. 1st​

The Buddy Game will run from Sunday Dec. 2nd thru Sat Dec. 8th
PLEASE! For the fairness of everyone, do not sign up if you will not be online everyday during the week of the game. Its not fair for the buddy that you are supposed to be blessing, OK.​

OK, for those of you who are new to my buddy games, here's the scoop. I will assign everyone a secret buddy. You will be blessing one and receiving from another. Each day starting Sunday you will bless your buddy annonymously with gifts or blessings. Try to pick something from the wishlist on their homepage whenever possible. Lather, rinse, repeat EVERYDAY (LOL) till Saturady when you can finally reveal yourself to your buddy with your final gift.
Be sure to post in the thread everyday to "thank" your buddy. Since you won't know who it is, the only way you can get a thank you message to them is by posting it in here. If you have any problems AT ALL or ever have any ?'s please let me know asap so I can work it out quickly. ​

Eveyone needs to update the wishlist on their homepage with suggestions of things you might like to receive from your buddy. Also, enable your inventory list so that your buddy can see what you already have. That way they don't end up wasting blessing buying stuff that they can't give you.​


To find things that you want: look through the CF character clothes, backgrounds or special items.
Write down the "specific" name for the item so you can add it to your list.
To add something to your wish list: on your control panel click the 1st line, it says Edit Profile/MyCF Homepage.
Scroll down toward the bottom and look for "Wish List". Edit in the things that you picked out from the CFC section.
(Suggestion: type it out like a sentence. If you "enter" each item on a line it won't hold very much in the space provided)
Also double check to make sure it is showing properly in your list. You don't actually get as much room to use as it looks like.​

Important Notes

12-1 OK guys, I'm going to start distributing the buddies via PM now. Please take today as a time of review and preparation for the up coming week. Make a plan of stratagy and get some ideas. Be sure to keep track of what you are giving each day for your own records. That way if your buddy hasn't updated their list at least you know what items you have already given, not to mention, how much you are spending each day so you can keep it balanced out.

I will not be assigning myself a buddy (cuz what kind of secret would that be, lol) but I will be blessing everyone periodically throughout the week. I've decided to not make mine annoymous so as not to confuse you with your secret buddy items. My plan is to give everyone the same thing (as inventory allows) and make note of the items in this post. If you already own that day's items I wil just send the blessing cost to you to make up for it at the end after I total it up.

I get asked all the time "Can we start now?"

Technically tomorrow is the official start day. But as always, do it according to your schedule as you see fit. Remember it is for 7 seven days. Just be sure you atleast get all 7 days worth in.

How do you bless someone with an item?

Its really very easy. There are 2 ways: 1) by clicking the bless button (the heart/cross) on their post or homepage 2) there is a "bless" link accross the top menu. If you chose the 1st option their name will automatically be entered in the "to" side. Option 2 you must type it in. Then you can either send blessings in the top section or CFC items in the lower section. There is a drop menu where all of the items you own in your personal inventory are listed. After you have "shopped" for what you want to give them you just choose it from the drop down list. Be sure to check the annonymous option since this is a secret buddy game, lol. Hit the submit/enter (whatever, lol) and that's it!

Sundays are always a very busy day for me but I will check in later, I promise. If for some reason anyone doesn't hear from their buddy today let me know by tomorrow so I can work it out quickly. I will be keeping track of everyone's "receiving" from their thank you posts in the thread. (That's why they are so important)

12-3 Eveyone please be sure you are hitting that annonymous option when you send your gifts. We want to keep things a secret until Sat. Also note, you CAN NOT includes a message on it and have it be annpnymous. (Someone learned that the hard way in the last game) So please don't try to send cute pics, notes and PMs. They will give you away!
