Did anyone ever break up and then get back with their ex?
We broke up December 22 and we went out for my birthday in June, went swimming a few times in July, and have kept in touch. I'd say we officially got back together mid-September.

That is quite a good news. I used to have fights with my boyfriend but then we used to sort out the matter and get along again but never did breakup.

I met a gorgeous boy my age, who was a military vet with PTSD, in summer 2009.
We had a summer of young love but then after that we were still together but the PTSD got really bad and we had rocky rough times. We made it 2.5 years with some up's and down's when finally God needed us to be apart to grow and heal as individuals not tied down by anyone. During that time, but of us sought to meet other people but no one "right" ever came along. Finally about 8 months after this break up, we became good friends. Earlier this year, we admitted that we still had love for each other...but then he had to live 30 miles away with his family for 6 months which made it hard to spend any time with him. So I was like "ok now what... do I wait and see what he does?" thinking he'd stop trying to be my best friend and just putter out. Well this month he came back to live only a few miles away. Just in time for Christmas, we have each other to spend time with regularly again.
Courting? I don't know. Dating? Well we go on dates sometimes.
I think what we have is more like what my mom and dad had in college....best friends with potential for a future.

As a rule, your ex shouldn't be a prospect if he mistreated you or was never on the same page with you... but every so often there's an exception. I call it the "right person/wrong time" complex and eventually the time will be right.

Most of us have a few exes to bare. Not sure if i'd want to get back with some.

Occasionally people get back with exes when the time is right and stuff is just perfick. Like theyve just been left to roast like a good turkey.

That guy ended up being really bad, that's over. He broke up with me three days before Christmas 2012, and the police came to our house two nights in a row, the second night they drove me home. He doesn't work in the winter and gets really nasty and depressed and it happened again.

But after 10 years, my high school boyfriend and I are back together. NOT the guy I mentioned before.

Yep, we put our relationship on hold for a month, then got back together, but eventually re-broke up and then I after that a year later I found a new woman who I got together with.
