There is but one true goal I have, and that is to find the absolute truth. I am well aware I will never find it....in this lifetime. I do however believe, that the truth lies in death. I believe that in death I will find God, and in God I shall find the truth, for for it was Ghandi who said "The Truth is God". I believe that we must prepare ourselves in this life, for whatever may await us in the cold grave.

We must learn as much as we can in this life, and acquire what wisdom we can while we live so we may be prepared for as many possibilities as possible. No one can know what death truly holds in store for us, so the best and most simple solution is to be open minded. Yes, I am a Catholic, but I respect all religions and beliefs and whatever truths they might hold. It would be really nice if everyone would stop nagging at each other with words of spite and come together to discuss what truths they have discovered themselves in a brotherly manner instead of shooting everything down just because it conflicts with their own ideas. In the end, with an open heart and an open mind, we'll all end up in the same place.

Goodness, where did you get such nonsensical ideas?

I looked for it in life

It wasn't there

Look at it this way, if I die, and I go to heaven and the bible was right all along, then that is the truth. If I die and God is actually some evil being who just likes to screw with us, then f him, and thats the truth. If I die and there is nothing, and we go through that whole picture painted by the guy who wrote The His Dark Tools series where our cells "Become one with the universe" (which personally makes me sick), then that is the truth. Or maybe we'll ascend to some higher dimension, and ascend through more dimensions will we find the truth, or perhaps we will ascend through an infinite universe, maybe the truth is infinite. The possibilities are endless, and present the joys of endless contemplation.

sounds like doubt to me, even agnostic. It's an either/or which of these outcomes do you believe?

Sounds like Pascal's wager.
Let us then examine this point, and say, "God is, or He is not." But to which side shall we incline? Reason can decide nothing here. There is an infinite chaos which separated us. A game is being played at the extremity of this infinite distance where heads or tails will turn up. What will you wager? According to reason, you can do neither the one thing nor the other; according to reason, you can defend neither of the propositions.
Do not, then, reprove for error those who have made a choice; for you know nothing about it. "No, but I blame them for having made, not this choice, but a choice; for again both he who chooses heads and he who chooses tails are equally at fault, they are both in the wrong. The true course is not to wager at all."
Yes; but you must wager. It is not optional. You are embarked. Which will you choose then? Let us see. Since you must choose, let us see which interests you least. You have two things to lose, the true and the good; and two things to stake, your reason and your will, your knowledge and your happiness; and your nature has two things to shun, error and misery. Your reason is no more shocked in choosing one rather than the other, since you must of necessity choose. This is one point settled. But your happiness? Let us weigh the gain and the loss in wagering that God is. Let us estimate these two chances. If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing.

Wager, then, without hesitation that He is. "That is very fine. Yes, I must wager; but I may perhaps wager too much." Let us see. Since there is an equal risk of gain and of loss, if you had only to gain two lives, instead of one, you might still wager. But if there were three lives to gain, you would have to play (since you are under the necessity of playing), and you would be imprudent, when you are forced to play, not to chance your life to gain three at a game where there is an equal risk of loss and gain. But there is an eternity of life and happiness. And this being so, if there were an infinity of chances, of which one only would be for you, you would still be right in wagering one to win two, and you would act stupidly, being obliged to play, by refusing to stake one life against three at a game in which out of an infinity of chances there is one for you, if there were an infinity of an infinitely happy life to gain. But there is here an infinity of an infinitely happy life to gain, a chance of gain against a finite number of chances of loss, and what you stake is finite.

It is all divided; where-ever the infinite is and there is not an infinity of chances of loss against that of gain, there is no time to hesitate, you must give all. And thus, when one is forced to play, he must renounce reason to preserve his life, rather than risk it for infinite gain, as likely to happen as the loss of nothingness.

I am not a man of doubt, merely a man of possibilities. My nature does not allow me to walk into the fray without considering all that may go wrong with my "plan"

When I look at life, I see a war, a fight. I likewise, am a soldier. We must fight for peace, and fight to find the truth. And as a rule of war we must always be prepared, lest we die out of our ignorance.

I am a catholic, and am so because I was raised such, because it fits my lifestyle, and I wish to be in the company of Him for witch I have fought so hard.

I suppose my argument has a similar core idea with Pascal's, but they are not the same.

Perhaps not hard enough. To say that you will find truth in death because you haven't found it in life seems a bit hasty to me.
Doesn't sound hasty to me...In this life, we live by faith. I have faith in God and all that He has revealed to His Holy Church. You have faith that there is no God...one day, our faiths will be realized and truth revealed.

If you've looked in your house for your car keys, and haven't found them, do you assume that they're outside. Even worse, when picking a religion, you not only assume that they're outside, you assume that they're in a specific bush.

You have faith that there is no God...one day, our faiths will be realized and truth revealed.

False. I do not have faith that god does not exist.
