It has been a while since I read the document. But I found him a bit more unusual than some of the other early church fathers. I am re-reading it now to see if I still have that assessment years later.

Well, years later I still find Barnabas a bit difficult to read. But he is trying to apply many OT statements to Jesus. He just seems a bit polemical at the same time.
