First Name: Steve-o
Church: i attend Paterson (Temple) SDA, NJ
Seminary studies/Ordained?:None
Outlook regarding SDAism: not a member, but i search for the truth.
Accepted Christ/ Baptismal age: Babtized at around 11, accepted Jesus as my Christ at 21 waiting to get babtized....this time understanding what it means.
Favorite church activity: i can't get up in time for the sermon on sabbath mornings:blush:
Participation in your church: not an active member....can't get used to the whole church thing.
Favorite book of the Bible: John
Favorite verse/passage: so many!!!!!
Favorite Bible version/study Bible: NKJV/KJV Parallel Bible....don't like the newer translations.

First name: Jackie
Church: Portsmouth Seventh-day Adventist
Seminary Studies/Ordained: None
Outlook regarding SDAism: After 40+ years as a baptist, I can't tell you how refreshing the truth has been. My decision to join this church was the best one of my life. I've never been happier.
Accepted Christ/Baptismal age: I can't ever remember NOT believing in Jesus, my first baptism was by sprinkling at age 30. I knew it was wrong, not biblical when they did it...I felt nothing. My REAL baptism was April 16, 2005 - I buried the ol' man and now I walk with Christ a new being. PRAISE HIS NAME!
Favorite Church Activity: Visitor's lunch. (lol) Communion Service
Participation in your Church: Primary Sabbath School teacher, and anything else they ask me to do.
Favorite Book of the Bible: Mark
Favorite Passage: Matthew 7:21-23
Favorite Bible Version/study bible: KJV, cannot abide NIV, or most of the newer translations

Welcome steve-o and everyone else, SDA or not.

It's not about a building or the name written on the marquis outside of it...it's about Jesus, loving Him, worshipping Him, picking up our mats and following Him.

God bless us one and all.

Church: Bentonville Adventist Church
Seminary Studies/Ordained: School of hard knocks
Outlook regarding SDAism: I imagine the persecution we experience daily is just a small piece of what's to come, but the truth has never been popular and never will be. Matthew 24:13 - But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Accepted Christ/Baptismal age: I have always believed in Christ. However, as a stubborn teenager I decided it was just too difficult to live a proper life and I turned my back on the knowledge I grew up with (for about 15 years). I came back to Christ in September of 2003 and was baptized on December 25th, 2004 (the true celebration of His birth is baptism, so I was thrilled that "Christmas" fell on a Sabbath)
Favorite Church Activity: Foot washing and communion
Participation in your Church: My husband and I are developing a website for our local church (he's more in charge of that than I am). I am a member of the Women's Ministry.
Favorite Book of the Bible: James
Favorite Passage: Just one of many....Romans 11:36 - For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to Whom be glory for ever. Amen.
Favorite Bible Version/study bible: KJV

Hi, my name is Inne. I'm a Seventh-day Adventist, I've been an SDA since birth. I go to Denver South SDA Church. I was baptized around 11 or 12. But I was re-baptized on 2004 (is that wrong to get re-baptized?) becaue I felt like I'm far from God at that time even though I never really done anything that is considered extremely bad. I just felt that God is far from me at the time and really didn't understand what the bible and everything is about when I was first baptized, but when Mark Finley and Shawn Boonstra came to Denver to do a Seminar, I was moved and decided to be re-baptized. I'm currently a second semester freshman at Metropolitan State College of Denver majoring in Engineering and medicine. I'm planning to transfer to University of Colorado at Denver on Spring06. My Favorite activity in church is the whole thing. I participate in the Adventist youths ministry. My fav. bible version is the KJV because that's the only version I and the SDA brothers and sisters, my parents, siblings, uncles, aunts, gramma/grampa always read to me when I was little. By the way, can you guys answer my question above??? is it wrong/a sin to get re-baptized?

It is neither wrong nor a sin to be re-baptized.

In His service,
Mr. J

It is not a sin to be re-baptised and as far as I am concerned it is often a very good idea.

Praise the Lord you have been convicted.

Welcome Megan. Nice to have you with us. Believe me nobodys life here is perfect. We are all on the rocks at one time or another in our relationship with the Lord but, even after we are broken and battered He is able to clean us up and make us whole in Him.

Even if you were over 18yrs, if you enjoy the interaction and fellowship with the youth, that you can be a blessing in that ministry at just about any age. So don't give up on it ok. :) I still have a number of ideas for youth ministry and all my young people are over 18yrs :D

First Name: Austin
Church: I attend the Bentonville Seventh-day Adventist church
Seminary studies/Ordained?: Nope, not yet at least.
Outlook regarding SDAism: I truly believe Adventists are a large part of the Remnant church and will be instrumental in proclaiming His second coming - if I didn't believe this I wouldn't be in this church.
Accepted Christ/ Baptismal age: I was baptized at the age of 35 after a lifetime of searching and many ups and downs.
Favorite church activity: Sabbath school - we have a great study group and I always learn something more
Participation in your church: Active member. I am on the multi-media team (which means I run the mix board during services and other activities), helped to build our church school's website and am currently building the church website - if you are curious to see what stage its in here is the test-site: http://www.geocities.com/finding_remnants/
Favorite book of the Bible: Psalms
Favorite verse/passage: John 3:16 (I know, not very original but the verse says it all)
Favorite Bible version/study Bible: I study many many versions because different versions are better suited to different topics. Most times I read from the 1611 KJV (without Apocrypha) but I also enjoy the YLT, BBE, ESV, and the WYC when doing essays/studies.

Trust me, if Christ can clean up someone as "on the rocks" as I have been during periods in my life He can most certainly clean your robes. Praise be to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!! Remember, its the ones that are farthest from Him that He seeks out the most - as any good shepard would.
