SDA: Ellen White is often claiming she was given visions from the Lord. Yet no women in the OT or NT had any visions.

Out of curiosity should I be "surprised" that you have not addressed the point of the OP - that no woman can be a prophet that has visions from God?

The OP's assertion didn't make it past the response in post 2, since it was clear women could prophesy.

So he ought to go on to test Ellen White's claimed message by Scripture. And the thread I pointed out shows how she called Miller's message "heavenly" and condemned those who didn't believe it, even though Jesus already ruled out such a message as Miller's in Scripture.

But if it makes you feel better:

I Cor. 11 notes that women should prophesy with their head covered, which wouldn't be an issue if they were not prophesying.

4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved.
