I do appreciate that step. And as I said before, I don't have a problem with discussing issues in the church. But the mission of the church is not to warn other Adventists. We need to be about the mission first and foremost.

Well, I don't know what the mission is for the church(organization). I don't really care. The Bible tells us we must be ready and preach the message. So that's two hold.

But the Bible doesn't tell us that we are supposed to preach only to other Adventists.

A simple answer is from Jesus 'they will persecute you in my name'.

And 'reply yea, nah. Anything else is the evil one'.

So expect persecution, keep it yea nah, and love the person trying to wind you up. If you show and think Love to the person then I am sure the devil will run away.

I didn't say preach only to Adventists. But we must warn 'our own' people.

Ezekiel 33 tells us the watchman must warn/sound the trumpet over the house of Israel. If the watchman does his job, the blood of those who didn't listen will not be on his hand.

Indeed. And the watchman was appointed to speak to the Israelites.

We are to speak to every nation kindred tongue and people.

Each must attend to their mission. My point was that the thread was saying the GC was going soft on the Sabbath, pulling back.

So let's not wait on the GC to do the mission. If they are pulling back to start with.

I read the article, and do find it to be rather disturbing since I understand the implications of the Evangelical Ecumenical movement quite well.

It's not just an issue of going soft on the Sabbath, but one of silent compromise.

Well, I think you should tell the person to ask the Roman Catholic church. The 'mother church' no longer considers SDA church a cult. The General Conference has made a deal with RCC in return for such, the SDA church officially will not push the 3 angel's message and the 'anti-catholic' teachings.

Who cares what anyone thinks? The bible says 'you will be hated by ALL men for my name sake'. Christ and His followers were considered a sect.
