This scripture really has helped me a lot. It helps me discern spirit vs flesh. I examine myself against this scripture, and it helps me to know how to think properly. The epistle of James is full of wisdom.

James 3:16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

This verse also is one i embrace for the precious reminder of God's beautiful beautiful "simplicity", which is embodied in His peace and His wisdom:

Thank you, i love it because when it hit me what it meant (another Jeremiah 33:3 moment hahaaa) i was almost floored. It just put everything into perspective.

For our God is the epitome of simplicity and the antithesis of complications and/or confusion. For NONE of these can embody "peace", which is the "hallmark" of God and Who He is. He embodies peace, and so do we when He abides in us.

I have found that it is so simple. Just walk by the Spirit , obey its unctions
learn Jesus sayings , which are pure doctrine.
man is the one who complicates things when he for his own desire , goes around JESUS sayings
and bends them to suit his own personal gain.
But truly its so simple. Its all based on what JESUS said.
He who hears and does my sayings , DUG REAL DEEP and laid his foundation on a STONE
but he who hears , yet does not ...........sinking sand.
I can sum up our walk by saying, Who do we follow , whose sayings do we keep.
its that simple. I mean really it is. And the SPIRIT will remind us of HIS sayings and guide us in all truth.

Yes we can fail the grace of God, i believe, if i understand your question correctly. Paul teaches us not to take Gods grace in vain. 2 Corinthians 6:1

lest any root of bitterness spring up .
I was not sure what bitterness fully meant, till I kept reading , and reading.

are even now in the gall of bitterness. Love of money, of power
love of esteem and recognition.
We will fall, if we allow temptation to take away the FIRST LOVE.
but I have found that the LOVE that GOD put on my heart, is for TRUTH above all things.
For the Love of GOD is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy ghost.
what a simple walk . truly what a peaceful walk.

Throughout God’s Word in the Bible there are certain important themes mentioned over and over again. I'm thankful that Almighty God inspired the scriptures be written in such a way, that when my soul has specific needs, His Holy Spirit leads me to the chapter and verse that fills my cup and quenches my thirst. It's a wonderful feeling to know that we can follow Jesus and He will lead us.

Here are some verses that are filling my spiritual needs at the moment...

• Matthew 4:19 — 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
  
• Mark 1:17 — 17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
  
• Matthew 28:19-20 — 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
  
• 1 Timothy 2:5 — 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
  
• Proverbs 3:5 — 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
• John 1:14 — 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
  
• John 3:16 — 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
