Hi Yo'll,
How can you turn scripture into a song?
I know mercyme did it. But i don't know how to do it.
I would like to know how you turn scripture into a song.
If you know how please post them here.

I write by finding chord progressions i like and just singing over them.
You could try doing that singing over a psalm, or whatever else you wanted.
Sometimes just spending time with God meditating on a passage, you can ask Him to give you a melody, and just sing it out with no accompaniment. It probably wont be as you like/want the first time, but theres always another try later........

I think if you can find one of those things churches used to have called "hymnbooks" that you'd find that a lot of those songs are actually scripture put to music. Look to the past my friend!!
