  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I would say, look for the fruit of the spirit; (Galatians 5:22-23).

And look for someone with the maturity to understand the commitment of marriage and live up to it. I can't immediately call to mind a Scripture for that one, but you don't (for example) want someone who's more excited about the pageantry of the wedding day than taking seriously the words of the vows.

Hello! I was wondering what qualities, as a Christian young man, I should look for in a wife. If you have advice, it would be appreciated, but I'll require that you support the qualities you suggest with book, chapter, and verse. Thanks!

i found that a Christian woman who openly and actively displays her love for God and neighbour, makes for the best wife. A woman who actively loves the Lord and stays faithful to His revealed truth loving her neighbours will also love you and stay faithful to you.

So far, you've given the best answer, as you used Scripture to support it! Yes, I haven't thought much about it till now, but while the fruit of the Spirit is something all Christians should possess, "all Christians" includes a potential wife as well, since I don't want to "be unequally yoked together with unbelievers" (2 Cor. 6:14-18, NKJV).
