CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Scrapbooking is my passion, after God that is. I'm a manager of a Christian Scrapbooking club! It is a wonderful hobby. I have been scrapbooking for six years now! And things have changed so much. I'm making cards now even. Great way to use up your paper scraps!

I've done... well... sort of scrap booking, I guess. I don't have the money for the archive quality paper, but I use special photocorners to place pictures in albums so that they are secure, but can still be removed later. Those albums I then decorate with well... just about everything. My sort of scrapbooking isn't that expensive, because with some glue and a crafts knife, you can get the most magnificent pictures that you've cut out of postcards, packagings, wrapping paper, etc. Plus a ribon here, a sprig of something there, a stamp over here, dried leaf somewhere else...
Slowly I add to my materials. I have some malls for paper pricking, a few cut out patterns, etc...

It does get expensive, but walmart has some scrapbooking stuff in it and you always can find sales at hobby stores and scrapbooking stores. What i do is ask for the stuff for xmas when anybody ask me what i want.rachelg2004 said:

I've been scrapbooking since I was about 9 years old. My pages back then were terrible! It's a very fun and creative hobbie, but yes, it can be expensive. I've found ways you can get things cheaper. Esp. those fancy yarns and ribbons. At craft stores skiens of that fancy yarn is sold for 3 or 4 dollars! Or, you can get it at the scrapbook store and get less for 9 or 10 dollars!
People ask me who taught me, and how I learned!! I just tell them that you teach yourself. It's a thing you learn with experience and time!

Honey, You want to talk scrapbooking? I belong to two online interactive scrapbooking clubs on the internet. 
We're so interactive that we have it set up in little strings that we all make something, snail mail it to the host of the string (enough for everyone in each string ), and then she snail mails it all out to the other members. So everyone has a bit of something from everyone.
Scrapbooking is such an addictive (and expencive hobbie) that my mother has spent about eight hundred dollars on it so far!! And that doesn't include the money from scrapbooking retreats we've gone to! I've only been doing it for a little over a year, but I own so much stuff
(between my mother and I), that we sell things on E-bay, locally (all scrapbooking things), and have even talked about opening a local club and store. It's crazy , and scrapbooking is such an expencive hobbie!
LoL, anyway, I just love to run into new scrapbookers and talk to them about it. I love sharing ideas and hints and things.
So, if anytime you want to see work that I've done, or you want to show me work, E-mail me! LoL

I love to be creative, and scrapbooking is a blast. However, lately I have taken to making cards more often, because I really don't have a whole lot of pictures, just yet. I love all the paper and embellishments, but I don't have enough pictures, and then I have pictures after I have used all my ebellishments that I like on cards. But over all I love scrapbooking, I just wish I had more money to devote to it.

It isn't easy to find the money. I am right now saving for college. I am attending junior college fulltime, and working fulltime, and making jewelry on the side and selling it. And I have to save all that money for hopfully going to Moody Bible next fall.okiemommy26 said:
