Yes, you do need acid-free because it won't damage your photos and will last the longest. You don't want to have to re-do this project again in a few years, so you may as well go with something that lasts!

How come other tapes ruin pictures? Would they have doubled sided acid-free tape? Oh boy I just brought another roll of tape, but I don't think it's acid-free. I am making a scrapbook for church. Oh boy, I think it's gonna take forever for me to make it.

Well one thing I can say is Pearly paint. It's this type of glue that when you apply it, it's like puffy, and it doesn't ruin the scrapbook paper. I've used glitter Glue, but that just seems to make the scrapbook paper cringe up for some reason, so I hate using anything glue.

Well I guess depending on the situation, you would need different type of verses, but an idea would be go to websites like http://bible.gospelcom.net/ and type in search words.

Another thing that I like to do in scrapbooks is to write songs in like different color pencils. LIke I would use 2 colors. I like using certain colors for biblical things. Such as red for the blood of Christ. Blue for eternity. Purple for royality.

For Missions:
I like the songs Pure and holy passion and Knocking on the doors of Heaven.

Check out bible stories. Depending on what age group you are working on; the childrens books tend to be very colorful. Good luck with your project. Scrapbooking is so much fun.

I have a Question. Does anyone know where I can get KOLO scrapbooking material for a cheaper price? The KOLO refill pages cost anywhere from $9-$11 and that gets kind of expensive when you have a LOT of pictures to put in. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had an idea for a summer project to get all my photos in albums. Then I thought, oh I'll make a scrapbook. And then I started looking in to them. Now I am very intimidated!
I signed up for a class in 2 weeks and I'm already confused with the 'bring to class list'

Here it is:
-Bring baby powder (why?), notebook, pen, pencil ruler (those I understand )
-Cardstock in cobalt blue, sky blue, vanilla, brown, sage, gold, moss, melon, white, black, purple. (what is cardstock?)
-Cutterpede straight-edge trimmer (how much does this cost?)
-Millennium pen
-Writer Markers in various colors
-2-way glue
-stickers: vellum pastel flowers, vellum maple leaves, vellum seashells, at the shore classic stickers, birthday bash, dragonflies, crackled glass ABC's.

Just how much does this hobby cost, lol?

Sounds like they have a set project for you to make. Don't know on the baby powder. Cardstock is a thick paper, check at your craft store it's labeled. A straight edge trimmer is very useful for--straight edges. I have a Fiskars brand that cost around $15-20 I think. The hobby can get very expensive if you let it. I tend to look at magazines for some ideas, but I'm not into a page being lots of frills and 1 or 2 pics, I like more pics framed by the color some stickers and some verses/commentary. Remember, have fun with it don't feel pressured to follow every new trend.

The other important aspect is that you use acid and lignen (sp?) free materials. It keeps your photos from degrading.
