Scrapbooking is awesome!

What i do is just take things laying around the house and use that. Such as left over yarn and ribbon, scraps of wrapping paper, clippings from magazines etc. Very creative fun way to do things!

As for Bible Verses, try having a theme for certain sections. For my boyfriend, I have a verse from Song of Solomon. For baby pictures, I use psalms 139. Be creative!

Hello-
I am a consultant for Creative Memories, and I'm not trying to solicit business here--just help! You can send me a private message if you want to know more. CM is a Christian company and I am right now putting together a class on Faithbooking. Anyhow, I have some specific verses pertaining to this, compiled by the Co-Founder of the company if you are interested in them. For example:
Birthdays:
I Corinthians 10:31 LB "Whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, you must do all for the clory of God."

Children:
Psalm 127:3-4 CEV "Children are a blessing from the Lord."

Adoption:
Proverbs 25:25 NIV "Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land."

Anyhow, I have 3 pages of these and would love to share them with all of you!!

I believe that God wants us to tell our stories to future generations. . . . . "Our children will hear about the wonders of the Lord." Psalm 22:30-31. Scrapbooking is fun, but it is also a way to tell our children how blessed they are and to document your faith. Have fun!

I can't post an actual link yet, but take the spaces out of this and add a www at the beginning, and you'll get my suggestion:

two peas in a bucket . com

(all one word)

They are great. Message boards, store, the whole thing.

As for doing layouts with scriptures, you can look at magazines, scrapbooking books (try the library for these if you don't want to buy), etc., and then just substitute scripture verses for the journaling or the title or whatever.

Don't be intimidated by all the "impossibly fabulous" layouts you see in these books/magazines/websites. Just take the ideas you like, use your own style and make something very special that is yours alone! And also keep in mind that your style and talent will grow as you do this ... my first few scrapbooks are so different than the ones I do now. I hope you'll find scrapbooking to be fun and satisfying. I love it!
