There is soooo much to do in Edinburgh all the time. It has so much to offer. Maybe it's cos I'm a historian I love it so much.

astral acrobat your avatar is so cute!!

Trouble is I'm not really a city person, prefer to be out and about......up Munros, in forests, lurking about in castles, down mines......so between Glasgow and Edinburgh? Meh, no favourite really.

And thank you. I'm a Tiger. Grrrrrr! lol

you cant beat the highlands !

ive never actually got the chance to see the festival and fringe maybe next year. what i mean is, edinburgh seems more spread out than glasgow and apart from the centre near the station and the castle/ old town i havent really explored much, is it much more expensive to live there than here ?

Au contraire! Edinburgh is waaaay more compact as a city than Glasgow. I remember when I was studying in Edinburgh that you could easily walk to 90% of the places in the city you needed to go to, you just can't do that to the same extent in Glassgow.

I'm from Wales, but have lived in Scotland since I was about 2 weeks old, so I guess that counts, ;) I live in Aberdeen at the moment. Pretty nice place, but I could be moving to St Andrews or Edinbugh when I go to uni next year. I love the wilds, but some of the cities are really nice.

Thanks! Probably something to do with geography. I'm not sure though, as I might go for something that's linked with it. A question I have for people that I forgot to put up earlier. Is anyone going to FRENZY? I'd put up a link but I can't because I don't have enough posts to yet.

Modding isn't actually that "fun". I'm a mod at a site where there's about 100 users or so, who post regularly. It's hard work, :D

hi all, have just found this forum and this is first post, have spent a while trawling through the messages and have found it enjoyable. Im from Inverness myself which is by far the second best place in Scotland - gateway to the Highlands. The best place of course being the north west highlands. hoping to move their soon.
Question - have read this entire thread, whatever happened to the idea of all meeting up?
Anyway best wishes to you all

well Inversneckie now, but I was born and brought up in Muir of Ord but thought that no-one would know where that was, went to Dingwall Academy myself from '85-'90 and have lived in Inverness since '92.
Ross County........................not a big football fan any more but my brother in Edinburgh has converted a few jambos to County and their are a few of them now go out in their County tops
