  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have a suggestion for by brothers and sisters in Christ.

Until scientists settle once and for all how we got our moon (from about seven different hypotheses), let's go with what the Bible says.

Then, when scientists finally do settle on [what they think is] the right one; let's just say -- by faith -- they are wrong.

Agree or disagree?

Go with what God says, or what man says?

Sorry, but that is a false standard. And where the Moon came from has very little to do with the theory of evolution. Last if it was answered you and your kind would only move the goal posts once again.

Here is another suggestion. Try being honest with yourself for once. It is amazing how the scales fall from your eyes once you quite lying to yourself.

And if you want to claim the Bible is "What God says". You are going to need a heaping portion of evidence to support that claim. Right now we can only say it is a book written by man.

Since you're dying to take this thread off-topic (since I'm making a good point), I'll be glad to accommodate you.

I disagree.

Ever head of cosmic evolution? stellar evolution? chemical evolution?

No such animals in your vocabulary, I take it?

Only from a convicted tax cheat and liar.

I try not to use incorrect terminology.

Do you mean Wikipedia, the University of Michigan, or Kent Hovind?

Perhaps you go overboard?

You are still wrong in the sense that you are lumping biological evolution with other processes. Of course what you are doing now is a playing a word game.

And it shows how little the Ten Commandments mean to you since it is an inherently dishonest attack.

One more time, why do atheists always have to point out to creationists when they are breaking their own rules? I don't see that problem with other Christians very often, it seems to be a failing of mainly creationists.

LOL

I'm the one in the wrong, despite the fact that I corrected you with Wikipedia and U of Michigan?

Solid aurum.

AV, yes, you are always wrong here. If not in detail at the very least in intention.

As I have said many many times, try debating honestly for once.

In fact here is a question for you:

Why can't creationists argue honestly? That means no word games. No quoting out of context. No use of false web sites? I know the answer do you?

The words you use.
Well if Jesus couldn't open His mouth w/o being wrong in you guys' eyes, I can do the same.

What tipped you off (in your opinion)?

My beliefs, or my faith icon?

Your posts tipped me off. I don't care about your personal beliefs. I care about your dishonest debating methods.

Is honesty that difficult? You should not need word games if your views are true and correct. You should not need false sites if your views are true and correct. Your debating method is an open admission that you are wrong.

Either way, you wind up with what man says.

BINGO!

The science articles I read have all seemed to settle down on the moon being the result of a collision between the proto-earth and a Mars size body between 4 and 5 billion years ago.

Do you have any current (within the past 10 years) alternate suggestions?

It's part of common dishonest tactics:

Scientists aren't completely sure about something = scientists know nothing and evolution is wrong

Ah, but there came a time when Jesus' critics stopped asking Him questions because of the wisdom of His answers.

You haven't reached that point, yet.
