Well I read my bible and it is all there. God created the 2nd (OUR) world AND man -
from the dust of the FIRST created world that was destroyed completely by flood etc.

Things are being unearthed all the time to confirm this. There was definitely an Ancient World a world of highly intelligent highly spiritual beings that built and created things that men of today couldn't possibly have made or understood. We are ignorant compared to them but God destroyed them because Satan tried to usurp God so He cast him down to a chaotic world that was destroyed.

Our world was created and was fine until man became corrupt again as of today doing the same things. Therefore He brought the flood it rained for 40 days and nights and man got going again, only to begin his same corrupted ways so He brought Jesus as a sacrifice to save us - but even with Jesus man has become corrupt again! They are casting Him out so we are in the End Times where the corrupt will be destroyed and His Own will remain.

Please get out of this thread. This thread is supposed to be about what supposed scientific evidence the world's scientists are missing when they say that the world is 4.5 billion years old when it should say it's 6000 years old.
If you can't discuss science, you shouldn't be on a thread about science.

Way way way way off topic.

Welcome to CF, my friend.

Let me give you a little piece of friendly advice.

Don't come here waiving a clipboard over our heads, or we'll be on you like dogs on a chew toy.

This thread was posted in Physical & Life Sciences forum, to discuss science. That's what I wanted to discuss: science.
I'm not waving a clipboard over anyone's head. It's you waving a Bible over everyone's head, while shouting out over everyone else.

I thought I'd give you the complete picture so you can see it from every angle instead of one short-sighted one

No. It's off-topic. As I have said repeatedly: this thread is to discuss science. If you can't discuss science, then you shouldn't be on here. Plain and simple.

And just an interesting observation which demonstrates his complete ignorance concerning geology. In #12, which I just mentioned above he uses the term "in situ". In #14 he uses the term "polystrate". Essentially they are the same, however, polystrate is not a geologic term, rather a term made up by creationists that describes the geologic term "in situ", which simply means in its original position. The point being, he has no idea that he used the correct term in #12.

Glad we got that straightened out.

I'm not going to talk about astrophysics for two reasons:
  1. I'm not talking about ANYTHING to do with astrophysics. If you want to talk about it, go start your own thread about it. This thread is about the age of the Earth and the sciences related to it. That's it.
  2. You talk about NOTHING but astrophysics and how you claim that your views are the be all and end all of astrophysics. So again: if you want to talk about astrophysics, go and start your own thread.

He was merely giving an example....

You mean like actually following the CF rules, thus being required to stay on topic?

I know what I wrote, since it's my thread. And the OP to the thread was:
This is something I've seen many creationist/Young Earth believer claim many times on this site: "Scientists/Evolutionists are just misinterpreting the data."
I've seen this said about biologists, I've seen it said about geologists, paleontologists and archaeologists. But I have never seen anyone actually give a proper answer from people who follow the view that all of science showing an old Earth is wrong.

So I have to ask: what are they getting wrong? What are men and women who have spent years studying their field, all across the globe, getting wrong?

Which had nothing to do with the topic of the thread.

You're discussing science in a 'Christian forum' - now why would you discuss it here if you didn't want a Christian to contribute? I think it's important to keep God and His son Jesus in the conversation for without Him you wouldn't even be here.

You can be Christian to discuss this topic. You can be Buddhist, you can be Jewish, you can be Mormon. You can be from any religion that exists to discuss this topic.
But the main subject of the discussion of this topic, and I'm getting sick of repeating it, is SCIENCE.

I know what I wrote, since it's my thread. And the OP to the thread was:

So your saying that scientists ask Young earth creationists
how they should interpret the data from their research?

YEC's believe that the earth was created supernaturally.
So why would scientists consider the supernatural as
an observable force?

And if you're considering YEC ideas, then you're no longer
in the area of science, so you brought Creationist concepts
to the discussion with your thread title.

So no point in whining about non-scientific concepts.
