• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

To be fair, hybrid speciation can happen in one or a few generations. It's not even rare in plants.

One would think you've been here long enough to learn a bit about terminology...

in smaller organisms, like bacteria, however, speciation can occur within days, sometimes.

Oh, and I am playing WC3 right now. Nelfs ftw!

Interestlingly, there are examples of Beardogs in the fossil record. There were animals with the dentition of dogs, but the stocky body of bears. Their evolutionary line eventually led to both dogs and bears that exist today. Rather than bears and dogs producing beardogs, the beardogs were ancestrial to both dogs and bears. However, there were never any "catdogs," nor should you expect to see any in the future.
Oh, I meant to ask... are beardogs = amphicyonids here?

Orcs! Orcs!

Night elves are too... elves. And I love the orc storyline.

All of a sudden, science goes out the window when it's convenient for preserving cherished beliefs.
Creo/IDists pretty much take the same approach to science that Mormons to the KJV. The "insofar as it's translated correctly" tact. Leaves open anything you don't accept to be incorrectly "translated."

Don't tempt me with WC3 :p
I was on that thing from Beta :D
Been clean for almost a year (Though I did lapse when they offered a free week of WOTLK :D )
Haha! I played WoW for two days of a free ten-day trial and decided it was too dangerous.

WC3 has been tempting me lately, though. I have the install CDs near. Sooner or later...

nelfs are better at rushing. orc wyvern tech is too slow.

fast wins = nelf
I never got past the "n00b" stage in PvP :D Meaning in the few PvP games I played, I was flattened in about two minutes. And I have to seriously pay attention to beat a computer ^_^ Sticking with the campaigns, at least I'm good enough at those to enjoy them.

My attachment to orcs is purely emotional.

Starcraft is gonna be great. Should dig out the old one and go through it again. Does 2 follow on from Brood Wars? Never finished that.

Sounds like a good idea.

Now where did I put those CDs....

Just finished my first degree - been doing pretty much nothing but gaming since then :D

There's no-one in town anyway :p
If "town" is St Andrews, I'm here :p Working full-time, though, and I'm not that interesting IRL anyway :D
