Science is a TOOL; what people choose to do with it is a different matter. If you want free health care then come to Europe.

Anyone who holds a heart like that after surgery -- no gloves, holding someone's heart up to take a picture, etc. -- should be fired.

I would guess and say even an abortion doctor wouldn't do something like that.

AV, you need to understand the heart in the picture was 1. a model and not a real heart. 2. It was not the child's actual heart, look at the size 3. The model that the doctors used was to help them understand better how the child's actual heart looked to help them better plan surgery.

You seem to be rather confused about this whole thing, it is rather simple though if you would just think and check your facts out before reacting.

It wasn't clearly state, but I am assuming it was not a 3d printed model of any heart, it was a model of the patient's heart, derived from 2d medical scans.

3d printing is wonderful for many applications. It is actually built upon the same concepts of ink jet printing. I believe this is the 3d printer sold at Staples.
