I don't know when it hit me, but just recently I noticed that I've said thank you to people, but that's all. Thank you is very nice to say, but sometimes it's even nicer to go an extra step.

You may think I'm crazy, but lately I've been asking for managers at places and telling them that their employees are doing a good/great job or that they were helpful or whatever positive thing I could honestly say. You should see the surprised reactions I get! I explain it this way- if someone has a problem, the first thing they do is complain. Hardly anyone says, "I just wanted you to know that Susie was so nice and helpful." I've also written letters to companies telling them that their employees did an excellent job (I wrote one to David's Bridal after my wedding, and the people in the store were so thrilled- but they did a GREAT JOB). Maybe this whole "tell them something positive" thing is because I teach little kids, but it works with adults too. Try it- you'lll see.

So, that is my new mission, if someone does their job well, I'm going to tell their employer. I'll tell you sometimes that's all it takes to make the employee WANT to do a good job. There isn't enough positive going around these days, and if we can make someone else's day a little bit better, maybe that's a start.

Yes!

I too have been doing this now for quite a while.

First, the manager comes over, expecting to field a complaint. Boy. It sort of makes his day. I even ask for him to compliment him on the generally well run operation or excellence service or product line. I even tell my doctors, and dentitsts, that I appreciate their mature interest in both person benefits in the economics of their profession capacity AND I praise them for working hard at school while so many pupils today do not. I say that regardless of the prestige and the renumeration, they are exemplier people. Pointing out the amazing medical procedures that are part of our society today, I praise them personally and collectively in what I tell them.

I would like to do this for the church people, too. The sacred scriptures are here for us today, only be the respect and the courage in some cases of those people, the church people, who have assured the transmission into our own day. I praise the responsible job of maintaining accuracy and fidelity in this task that has be performed over ages and often difficult times.

May the force of Peace be with you...
Zech. 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of
all the nations (and denominations of Christian religion) which (since 70 AD) came against (this newly established) Jerusalem, (1980 AD), shall even go up from year (2025AD) to year (thereafter) to worship the King, (the Lion of Judah, root of David: [Rev 5:5]), the LORD of hosts, (the host of unceasing Christian tourism), and to keep the feast of tabernacles, (and build cube shaped geometries, as if Sukkoths).

I too think a simple thank you is important... You know when we do a nice thing to someone they tend to pass it on because of the positive feedback.... I know I took my daughter to a local sub place the other day..... My 12 year old daughter just kept telling me her sub was the best one she's ever had.... So, before we left I made sure I spoke to the owner and passed on the message.... He was thrilled.... Those little words mean alot.....

Thanks for thinking to write about this subject!!!!
