For a very long time I've been living in a rut, my nice warm and cosy rut where its nice and safe. I'll back track a bit, i'm stubby and I'm an introvert always have been, over the years become less of one. I've always felt like I've never fitted in until recently, but I had a moment of clarity I push people away. I've always been the guy when asked if he wants to go out will find an excuse and eventually people stop asking and yes I've improved but I still do it.
Today I went to the bookstore I work in and picked up a new book, it was called Yes man, a true story about a man who was in a rut since his ex of three years dumped him when finnally an old man on the bus simply said to him, say yes more. Those three words changed his life (I highly recommend reading the book, its very funny).
And I realised there and then that I dont say yes enough, my nice little rut isnt so nice, infact its boring and lonley. So I've come to the descision, I will say yes more, non of my friends or family will know this just you and me, whatever is asked I will say yes, weather it be will you help me move house, or would you like a big issue, no yes is to big or to small one things for certain I will say yes.
But more than that since I've never been one to copy other people I'm putting my own spin on this revelation. Your going to tell me what to do.
Thats right you tell me what to do and I'll go out and do it, I'll write it on here and take a photo (if possible) to prove it, its that simple... kinda there are some rules, I would prefer not to do anything illegal (it depends on how serrious its though, for example busking with out a liscense isnt a terrible crime), I will not take drugs, I will not harm myself or others mentally or physically, um thats about it, oh and please no taking advantage of me.
So go a head and tell me what to do, I am yours to command, just one question though? anyone want to say yes with me?
